Now we have a little insight into why Obama said to not jump to conclusions about Nidal Hasan and why Congressmen were not briefed before the press leak. This murdering Muslim Terrorist who killed and wounded the soldiers and civilians at Ft Hood, Texas was an advisor to Obama's Homeland Security team. Look on page 29 of the Homeland Security Institute link below. I wonder how many more skeletons there are to come to of the cupboard. Who else is there in the government or its numerous advisors or Czars that will harm our country and citizens? Liberator's habit is to omit most of the story, and she uses lots of capital letters as a distraction. (She acknowledges and seems impressed by superficial flattery from other posters....generally a female trait).

I meant that to be about liberator who I believe also is female. I'll go back and clarify it.
It also talks against murderers and rapists. I don't defend those who do evil in the name of God, Allah, or any other "heavenly being" as they exist in every religion.

To be honest Islam and the Koran is a rather convoluted and confusing belief system in many respects. However no more so than what you see in the OT. In fact there are numerous striking parallels between the OT and the Koran, and the Koran claims that it too comes from the same source as the OT.
This weeks topic in my Religions of the World class is Christianity and Islam, their similarities and differences. I'll know more at the end of the week.
PS - Don't tell Lib Islam and Christianity have similarities - He doesn't like to hear that.
The big difference between Christianity and Islam is Jesus taught forgiveness, and lived it to set an example even at the cost of his own life "Father forgive them they know not what they do." Both Islam and Judaism OTOH are mostly based on fighting back, and in the case of Judaism preeemptively attacking those whose land they claim their deity has given to them.
The other thing that Blaberator will not touch is that many of the Muslims in Palestine, and elsewhere, were originally Jews who were converted to Islam during and after the expansion of Islam in the 8th Century. Genetically, if one wishes to analyze a spiritual problem materialistically, the current Muslims of Palestine are little different genetically, virtually identical, from Sephardic Jews found anywhere in the Middle East. Of course the AshkeNAZIm are of Northern European ancestry and are no more closely related to the Jews of the Bible than was the last Czar of Russia. The AshkeNAZIm also treat the Sephardim only slightly better than the Muslims as they are racist bolshevik pigs.

A great book, if you can find a copy as it is out of print, is "Great Religions by Which Men Live". A classic in the field of comparative religion and very accessible.

Thank you. The text we are using is Living Religions, Sixth Edition, by Mary Pat Fisher. It's rather facinating and I'm enjoying learning about the many religions that exist. I will look for the book you suggested.
If one steps aside from dogma for a moment and looks at these belief systems from a strictly ethnographic viewpoint they begin to make more sense. Both religions evolved out of a very harsh environment, where survival was problematic at best, wracked by warfare and constant ethnic strife. Each elevates their own group above all others (a survival adaptation) and dismisses other groups as unworthy - even "subhuman". Which makes sense from the point of view that resources were severely limited and which meant not all could partake. Thus one has to have a rationale for killing others or preventing their survival. That this is no longer true is irrelevant, at this point, as those characteristics are so ingrained as to be almost nature. Historically the region has been riven by these irrational forces since time immemorial.

Certain Christian variants believe and practice that, even with those from other Christian religions. Such as the Seventh Day Adventists which I know for a fact, but it is not (that I know of) in any of their "official" teachings. So many of these religions have hierarchies that have their own level of secret teachings.
I have nothing against lezzies (I have more than one in my family) unless they exhibit the constant vile and nasty attempts at domination of a Liberator. Then I consider it part of a larger mental illness or personality disorder.
The only other poster I'm aware of who has many of the strange qualities of liberator is byeltsin. Byeltsin actually posted that there were sooo many posters on LP who deserved to die before her granddaughter (who was killed in an accident). I bozoed her right after giving my condolences. I think there are many examples on LP of drug and alcohol ravaged personalities.
