Paging Eric Stratton......

Eric are you on site?

Step forward and account for this response to a Mr. Blutarsky over at LP.

Please step forward for your mandatory 4um questioning on this 'pulled commentary' charge as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation. : )

3. To: Blutarsky, LP MGMT Warning (#1) If you can't say something nice...abstain.

I'm SICK AND TIRED of your constant comments that do NOTHING positive.

Find a candidate of your own to promote...and don't make any further comments of any kind on Palin.

PERIOD.

----

I'm thinking that you are here ONLY to disrupt threads about Palin...as you are usually the first to post on them...and it's always NEGATIVE.

So, based on your Palin-performance history...if you can't abstain as noted above, I'll just close your account.

I'm not convinced you're legit. You're a one note/one tune player.

I'm supprised that someone of Goldi's intellegence, hasn't invented a vaccine by now that stops CP in its tracks, and turns you into a neo-con.

Yes, that is surprising as she is a self-proclaimed genius. Surely she could put a stop to this scourge if she really wanted to.

Any sort of drivel should do, as long it's pro globalist and devoid of substance.

lol.....and she's a psychic as well. She was just telling of how she knew somebody was going to die on the day JFK was shot (without noting that MANY people died that day and every day).

How is it that one with sharp as a marble phsychic abilities could take so long to figure out the dastardly plans of Mr. Blutarsky?

What do you mean groups/agencies?

Interest groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, the ADL, AIPAC, JINSA, and others. PR Agencies routinely advertise Web Forum services where the PR Agency will have their 'bots post for their client and attack opponents. This even happens on audiophile websites where someone will come in and boost their client's gear while making negative comments about their competitors. Another source is Government Agencies such as the Feral Bureau of Instigation, CIA, CENTCOM, etc., who will detail people to the job. According to one article I read a couple of years ago the numbers of these types of posters was estimated minimally at 40,000 world wide and is probably higher than that.

That's what I'd been noticing more and more over the months, that and fewer and fewer people willing to reason and hash things out.

It is not just that they won't listen - they won't look, they won't analyze, and they will not consider changing their mind regardless of the facts. Neo-Barbarians.

Any on LP that you are aware of?

I am out of date on LP since, even under my retread login, I have not visited it much in the last year and a half since my banning. Just once in a while to rattle their cage. Certainly some of the Israbots are part of an organized activity. Whether paid or volunteer I really couldn't say for sure. I just identify them by their standard characteristics. A really good reference here for spotting them:

Twenty-Five Ways To Suppress Truth: The Rules of Disinformation

Included are the: "8 Traits of The Disinformationalist: What to Look For"

I am sure there are some here as well, but the keep a low profile as they would be shown the door very very quickly.

Twenty-Five Rules of Disinformation

Note: The first rule and last five (or six, depending on situation) rules are generally not directly within the ability of the traditional disinfo artist to apply. These rules are generally used more directly by those at the leadership, key players, or planning level of the criminal conspiracy or conspiracy to cover up.

1. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Regardless of what you know, don't discuss it -- especially if you are a public figure, news anchor, etc. If it's not reported, it didn't happen, and you never have to deal with the issues.

2. Become incredulous and indignant. Avoid discussing key issues and instead focus on side issues which can be used show the topic as being critical of some otherwise sacrosanct group or theme. This is also known as the 'How dare you!' gambit.

3. Create rumor mongers.  Avoid discussing issues by describing all charges, regardless of venue or evidence, as mere rumors and wild accusations. Other derogatory terms mutually exclusive of truth may work as well. This method which works especially well with a silent press, because the only way the public can learn of the facts are through such 'arguable rumors'. If you can associate the material with the Internet, use this fact to certify it a 'wild rumor' from a 'bunch of kids on the Internet' which can have no basis in fact.

4. Use a straw man. Find or create a seeming element of your opponent's argument which you can easily knock down to make yourself look good and the opponent to look bad. Either make up an issue you may safely imply exists based on your interpretation of the opponent/opponent arguments/situation, or select the weakest aspect of the weakest charges. Amplify their significance and destroy them in a way which appears to debunk all the charges, real and fabricated alike, while actually avoiding discussion of the real issues.

6. Hit and Run. In any public forum, make a brief attack of your opponent or the opponent position and then scamper off before an answer can be fielded, or simply ignore any answer. This works extremely well in Internet and letters-to-the-editor environments where a steady stream of new identities can be called upon without having to explain criticism reasoning -- simply make an accusation or other attack, never discussing issues, and never answering any subsequent response, for that would dignify the opponent's viewpoint.

7. Question motives. Twist or amplify any fact which could be taken to imply that the opponent operates out of a hidden personal agenda or other bias. This avoids discussing issues and forces the accuser on the defensive.

8. Invoke authority. Claim for yourself or associate yourself with authority and present your argument with enough 'jargon' and 'minutia' to illustrate you are 'one who knows', and simply say it isn't so without discussing issues or demonstrating concretely why or citing sources.

9. Play Dumb. No matter what evidence or logical argument is offered, avoid discussing issues except with denials they have any credibility, make any sense, provide any proof, contain or make a point, have logic, or support a conclusion. Mix well for maximum effect.

10. Associate opponent charges with old news. A derivative of the straw man -- usually, in any large-scale matter of high visibility, someone will make charges early on which can be or were already easily dealt with - a kind of investment for the future should the matter not be so easily contained.) Where it can be foreseen, have your own side raise a straw man issue and have it dealt with early on as part of the initial contingency plans. Subsequent charges, regardless of validity or new ground uncovered, can usually then be associated with the original charge and dismissed as simply being a rehash without need to address current issues -- so much the better where the opponent is or was involved with the original source.

11. Establish and rely upon fall-back positions. Using a minor matter or element of the facts, take the 'high road' and 'confess' with candor that some innocent mistake, in hindsight, was made -- but that opponents have seized on the opportunity to blow it all out of proportion and imply greater criminalities which, 'just isn't so.' Others can reinforce this on your behalf, later, and even publicly 'call for an end to the nonsense' because you have already 'done the right thing.' Done properly, this can garner sympathy and respect for 'coming clean' and 'owning up' to your mistakes without addressing more serious issues.

12. Enigmas have no solution. Drawing upon the overall umbrella of events surrounding the crime and the multitude of players and events, paint the entire affair as too complex to solve. This causes those otherwise following the matter to begin to loose interest more quickly without having to address the actual issues.

13. Alice in Wonderland Logic.  Avoid discussion of the issues by reasoning backwards or with an apparent deductive logic which forbears any actual material fact.

14. Demand complete solutions.  Avoid the issues by requiring opponents to solve the crime at hand completely, a ploy which works best with issues qualifying for rule 10.

15. Fit the facts to alternate conclusions. This requires creative thinking unless the crime was planned with contingency conclusions in place.

16. Vanish evidence and witnesses. If it does not exist, it is not fact, and you won't have to address the issue.

17. Change the subject. Usually in connection with one of the other ploys listed here, find a way to side-track the discussion with abrasive or controversial comments in hopes of turning attention to a new, more manageable topic. This works especially well with companions who can 'argue' with you over the new topic and polarize the discussion arena in order to avoid discussing more key issues.

18. Emotionalize, Antagonize, and Goad Opponents. If you can't do anything else, chide and taunt your opponents and draw them into emotional responses which will tend to make them look foolish and overly motivated, and generally render their material somewhat less coherent. Not only will you avoid discussing the issues in the first instance, but even if their emotional response addresses the issue, you can further avoid the issues by then focusing on how 'sensitive they are to criticism.'

19. Ignore proof presented, demand impossible proofs. This is perhaps a variant of the 'play dumb' rule. Regardless of what material may be presented by an opponent in public forums, claim the material irrelevant and demand proof that is impossible for the opponent to come by (it may exist, but not be at his disposal, or it may be something which is known to be safely destroyed or withheld, such as a murder weapon.) In order to completely avoid discussing issues, it may be required that you to categorically deny and be critical of media or books as valid sources, deny that witnesses are acceptable, or even deny that statements made by government or other authorities have any meaning or relevance.

20. False evidence. Whenever possible, introduce new facts or clues designed and manufactured to conflict with opponent presentations -- as useful tools to neutralize sensitive issues or impede resolution. This works best when the crime was designed with contingencies for the purpose, and the facts cannot be easily separated from the fabrications.

21. Call a Grand Jury, Special Prosecutor, or other empowered investigative body. Subvert the (process) to your benefit and effectively neutralize all sensitive issues without open discussion. Once convened, the evidence and testimony are required to be secret when properly handled. For instance, if you own the prosecuting attorney, it can insure a Grand Jury hears no useful evidence and that the evidence is sealed an unavailable to subsequent investigators. Once a favorable verdict is achieved, the matter can be considered officially closed. Usually, this technique is applied to find the guilty innocent, but it can also be used to obtain charges when seeking to frame a victim.

22. Manufacture a new truth. Create your own expert(s), group(s), author(s), leader(s) or influence existing ones willing to forge new ground via scientific, investigative, or social research or testimony which concludes favorably. In this way, if you must actually address issues, you can do so authoritatively.

23. Create bigger distractions. If the above does not seem to be working to distract from sensitive issues, or to prevent unwanted media coverage of unstoppable events such as trials, create bigger news stories (or treat them as such) to distract the multitudes.

24. Silence critics. If the above methods do not prevail, consider removing opponents from circulation by some definitive solution so that the need to address issues is removed entirely. This can be by their death, arrest and detention, blackmail or destruction of their character by release of blackmail information, or merely by destroying them financially, emotionally, or severely damaging their health.

25. Vanish. If you are a key holder of secrets or otherwise overly illuminated and you think the heat is getting too hot, to avoid the issues, vacate the kitchen.

I hear ya, but from experience, these things also happen at say sports sites, and I know as a fact that much of it is simply due to stupidity and lack of intelligence or reasoning ability.

If you think about it, it is a microcosm of how the entire world is. It's also why idiotic thought often prevails, because there are enough idiots to back it.

I'm with you all the way there on that.

I've had the exact same idea and have discussed it before.

The question is, I suppose, whether the person realizes they're doing it or not.

That is, if it's intentional or if they're getting paid or benefit in some way even if it's to perpetuate their own life of lies or just getting a kick out of being defiantly dishonest.

One can only speculate most of the time I guess.

Wow- I am more than a little confused by Goldi's remarks to you. I believed that she was serious about cleaning the place up- but she lets war stay.. and everything out of his mouth is a nasty, illogical personal attack. She lets people make threats against others- and looks the other way.

There are posters there who are obvious trolls and stalkers- and people whose every post is nonsense, and she seems to be encouraging those people and the way they use LP to attack other posters--- over and over and over again. She lets people get away with all manner of crazy things- and she THEN bans you just like that?? What is she cleaning up?? I am confused.

Well, it is her site- her rules, and not a place that I want to visit anymore.

Goodbye LP.

Sorry this happened to you Eric. Considering Goldi is the only mod there- and she has allowed people to do the most bizarre things at LP~ I find her comments were disrespectful toward you, and in poor taste.

Judging by the traffic on the mainstream political sites, I have no doubt that there are more than 40K people doing nothing but shaping consensus through lies and on screen antics.

When Goldi decided to insinuate something about me that wasn't even remotely true, I took her idiocy to task, and when she wouldn't apologize, I bailed.

I had to ask myself why would she do that? Why would she in a round about way insinuate that I would shoot up a shopping mall?

Then it occurred to me. She, like so many others make their living doing nothing but running websites dedicated to shaping opinion, and consensus of the masses.

It's why I have become incredibly, and virulently hateful of that site, and what it represents. Much like Frei Republik, and various other lie by the minute websites out there discussing politics, it is tainted with paid shills. I can name at least a dozen people I suspect are paid to be there, and the quickest way to see who is paid to do what they do, is comment on certain hot button issues.

Anything Immigration related, you have the same bunch of illegal alien supporters posting.

Anything Israel related, you have the same bunch of Pro-Israel idiots posting.

Anything 9-11 related, the same.

Iran, Iraq, Clintons, Environmentalism, religion, you have the same people, posting time and time again, and the funny thing, is that you can actually see what time their shift ends, and begins, and when they go to lunch if you monitor LP, and FR.

Better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not.

i've deduced the same. so many times, i've read comments saying it's just the internet, but the internet is comprised of real people. i understand that many behave differently when they're behind a screen and anonymous than they would in person and face to face, but that makes me think that's when the real person is being revealed.

That is because you think rationally, and make the mistake lots of intelligent rational people do of looking for a rational reason for irrational behavior. Goldi-Schmuck is simply unstable and I do believe an alcoholic. Having grown up in such an environment and lived through it first hand the behavior fits.

Trying to analyze Goldi-Pox's behavior is at best problematic because she is not entirely rational. However, I also agree that there may well be outside influence shaping what she allows and does not allow as well as what posters she likes, dislikes, and allows to get away with murder.

To some extent. I know how I react and behave and nowadays it is pretty much as I am in person. I did go through a snide phase - but that was dealing with 'bots - a class of people which I do not voluntarily socialize in the non-cyber world. I am perhaps a bit more reserved in person, but not with people I know well. Although there is the time I tore up a Tax Bureaucrat on a public bus - he was going apoplectic by the time he got off. I'm a baaaaaaaaad boy. Currently though I am watching a kitten tear the place up. She is about to get a "time out" in the back bedroom. ;-)

OI- I ,too ,grew up with alcoholism. So did my parents. I hear you.

I do, sincerely hope, that anyone who has a substance abuse problem- or has been effected by someone's substance abuse, finds peace and comfort in therapy or a peer support group.

I have been in a peer support group (alanon) for over two years and it has changed my life. I wish for everyone the same peace I have found. All of my relationships have been mended, and I have been able to love my alcoholic with an open and healed heart.

You are right- substance abuse is about chaos and is irrational- and no one needs to live that way, because there is help and understaning out there.

I do apologize for misunderstanding about the posting status, Eric. :) I get it now.

I have only have been verbally *attacked* by two posters there- and that has gone on for years- with the same people. I don't see where Goldi is setting an example for those two posters to be more civil, with the way she has been approaching posters- so I still won't be returning there.

I have really had enough of that Tom Foolery. Have a great day kids.
