Miscellaneous See other Miscellaneous Articles Title: The 10% and the 90% The 10% and the 90% Spirit is everything … Things have not changed all that much since Egyptian or Roman days when it comes to power and control tactics. There are still 10% of people in the world controlling everyone else. The 10% are the people who by luck and circumstance, accident of birth, or conditions which caused the synthesis in them of a “knowing” how to amass wealth and project their authority, came to own a lot of material things and control a lot of resources. Such people, recognising a kindred spirit, usually find it in their best interests to associate with each other. So the 10% form a kind of “informal” cartel dedicated to keeping the wealth where it is. The vast majority of these people become ruled by fear once they amass their huge wealth, and it is the fear of losing it that motivates all their behaviour which follows. They firmly believe that they can only have if others do not have. Although the resources of the world are abundantly, freely and more than adequately given to everyone on Earth by the Almighty, (or whatever name you like to give the Supreme Power) only 10% of power possessing beings on Earth take control of these resources and these 10% ensure that only as much of them as they deem “appropriate” filters down to the masses, the 90%. Although there is bounteous wealth and never-ending invention taking place on the planet, the output of both those commodities is strictly controlled by the power possessing beings. They are also the masters of “spin” so they keep the masses believing in the notion of scarcity, and also in the notion that the power-possessing beings know what is best for them. So even though the 90% might grumble, in the pit of their stomachs, they fear letting the control of the power-possessing beings go because they fear they may be “worse off” if they do. The restrictive influence of the power possessing beings’ “spin” on the 90% is held in place by fear. This is not much different from Egyptian and Roman days, except the physical manifestations of fear have now softened somewhat. Whereas back then you would likely meet a gory public death, just to remind your compatriots not to get “out of line”, these days you are merely constantly threatened with job loss, with social exclusion or with jail. There are always good “spin” reasons why this should be so, and indeed, the 90% generally speaking, have lost the ability to think outside what the “spin doctors” tell them, because all their energy is taken up in thoughts of survival, paying bills and maybe getting a holiday away once in awhile. And this is just as the 10% want it. Government is the handmaiden of the 10% of power possessing beings, and governments deliberately keep the majority of people in relative poverty. This comment was made quite casually, and as a side comment, by Wallace D Wattles over 70 years ago in his book “Think and Grow Rich”. It was no big surprise to him then and should be no big surprise to us now. Nonetheless, some of the 90% do break out and find the lives they truly want. The 10% of power possessing beings are ok with this, as long as there are not too many doing it. In fact they positively encourage sportspeople and entertainers to do well because this tends to keep the masses less rowdy and more contented, because they can live vicariously through the daring escapades and luxurious lifestyles of their idols. These activities replace the bear-baiting and cock-fighting of old. The 10% are in favour of anything which reinforces their power system, and if that includes the 90% being happy some of the time, then that is all the better. If the 10% were to use their positions and talents to creatively envisage new ways that all the people on the planet could live without poverty and without having to work 9-5 at jobs they hate, and then implement those strategies, using some of their amassed wealth, and not hold back inventions, then there would be no need for their fear and control as there is now. But the power-possessing beings are some of the most fearful people on the planet, so it is not likely that they will do that unless for some calamitous, or earth-shattering reason they feel it is in their own best interests to do so. In reality, if they let go of their ‘control’ they would be amazed at how their own personal wealth elevated, along with that of all of the 90%. By moving their perspective from competition to creativity and thus changing their view on the finiteness of wealth they would experience its infinite nature. Because most of the resources of the earth are concentrated in the hands of the 10%, the 90% have to make do with whatever is left. So their everyday experience is one of scarcity. Even if one of the 90% invents something fantastic, it is likely that he/she will have to conform to the mode of operation of the 10%, and cut them in with a hefty slice of whatever it is or even surrender it to them completely, in order to get any benefit from their invention. So the 90% tend to squabble amongst themselves to improve their situation. The “upwardly mobile” among the 90% tend to view their workmates as competitors and though they smile to their face, inwardly they are plotting how to get their workmate’s piece of the action if they deem it worth having. These characteristics are openly encouraged by the 10% because such tactics tend to divide and conquer and keep the 90% firmly under the control of the 10%, which is what they want. When a member of the 90% somehow manages to amass enough wealth and influence, they become one of the 10%. After the usual rituals to ensure they are an appropriate “fit”, the rest of the 10% embrace them as one of their own. At this point, the person who has just left the 90% generally takes on all the characteristics of the 10% and firmly believes that he or she is “special” and that the 90% need to be controlled. This attitude makes them feel more "secure" that they will continue to stay in the 10%. This is like a rite of passage and the ritual seems self-evident to the 10%. The 10% like to get cost/benefit out of the 90%. Therefore they are not happy when the 90% smoke too much, eat too much, drink too much or take illicit drugs, firstly because under the influence of these things the 90% get reckless and forget their “place” in society and secondly because overindulgence in these things can cause them to suffer ill health and be a financial burden on the government which supplies most of the hospitals. The government only likes the minimum amount of taxes to be spent on the maintenance of its people. The larger portion of the taxes it prefers to spend on its own self-aggrandizement, as in such things as creating many more civil servants who make their boss look more important, or making the city look fabulous so that other rich beings of the 10% will be impressed when they visit it or staging numerous expensive wars. In terms of health of its workforce, the government looks for the most cost-effective way of ensuring they stay fit enough to work the usual 9-5 and obey the orders of the 10% which are filtered down through government. Recently they have decided that making it harder for the 90% to get access to the substances that make them happy (smoking, drinking and drugs) will be the best method. In this they have to be careful not to spark a rebellion, since it is these things which temporarily cure unhappiness, so they are printing lots of publications with a fear “spin” so that the 90% will think it is their own idea to give these things up. This is most cost-effective. Then the 90% will have more of their time to devote to serving the 10% with less sick days and will do this willingly because of believing in the government “spin”. An unfortunate consequence of these health policies is that people will tend to live to older ages. This is a great difficulty for the budgeting of the government because they were formerly used to people living only about 75 years. If people retire at 65 years but in general live till over 90, this is a huge liability on the government and they are not happy about it, so they are working on ways to make the 90% pay for their post-retirement years themselves, out of the little they are given when they are working. This is considered to be “brilliant thinking” by the 10% who “pat the government on the back” for their clarity and dollar saving strategies. The 10% do not think they should have to dispense any more of their resources just because people live longer, even though these resources are freely given by the Almighty to everyone in the first place. The 90% would instantly cut their illness rate by half or more if they had all their basic expenses covered so that they were free to find out what it is that they really wanted to do and were good at. Doing what you enjoy is very curative and health-producing. For instance, people could still be paid their full time salary and work half time or quarter time and “productivity” would not need to suffer. There is a lot of wasted time spent in what is termed “ass-kissing” in the workplace. So much so that there would actually be plenty of time for people to do the things they really enjoyed for at least half the week, and still get paid the same without loss of production. But the 10% are afraid to let go of the convention of “ass-kissing” because it helps to keep the 90% in place and they judge that it is more important to keep that convention, than let the 90% find out what it is they are really good at. So that the 90% do not get too despondent and so that they feel that they are having a “say” in what goes on, the government has developed universities. These serve two purposes: they make some people in the 90% feel “superior” to the other people in the 90% who were not “smart” enough to attend university and they teach valuable skills which the 10% need the 90% to know so that they can use those skills in their service. Not much attention is paid to whether a person actually enjoys what they are doing at university (although there is lots of “spin” around this subject to create the illusion that it is) because in the end the 10% do not care if the 90% enjoy their work or not because really, they have no choice but to work. Most of them will work from month to month their whole life, retiring in semi-poverty and the 10% does not concern itself with that fact. It is, after all, their own faults, or their own bad luck. The “lot” of the 90% tends to make them feel inferior, and this feeling is encouraged by the 10% and the government in various ways, because it helps to retain the social order. It is not good for the 90% to get “above their station” because this would cause all sorts of plans to have to be re-thought by the 10%. Various small prize givings and honour roll mentions are dispensed to the 90% just to make sure they don’t totally lose heart and take their own lives out of desperation and feelings of loss of control. Suicide is actively discouraged because if it was widespread it would substantially diminish the workforce, could not be planned for, and is therefore considered by the 10% to be a very “bad thing”. The tool of religion has long been used by the 10% to scare people into thinking that taking their own life is a “sin” and this seems to have worked quite effectively for some centuries with maybe, a 5% failure rate only. Not bad statistics for the invention of Christianity. Unemployment benefits are considered to be a “necessary evil” by the 10% and therefore by government. Though the power-possessing beings don’t like it, they no longer have the option of putting to death anyone they find tiresome. World consciousness has moved beyond that point, at least in the west. So some “loafers” still manage to evade the 9-5 net, but must accept a much lower standard of living which the 10% grudgingly provide out of the taxes gathered from the rest of the 90%. It would not look good if all the unemployed started committing suicide either (though statistics can be concealed to a point) so their benefits are kept just enough to keep “body and soul” together. “Scowling” on the laziness of the unemployed is actively encouraged by the government and the power-possessing beings. Large nations with high concentrations of power-possessing beings (the 10%) become very “itchy” to plunder other countries’ resources. They do this chiefly because “they can”. It is like Mt Everest to them. Because it is there, they must climb it, such is their belief in their importance and their abilities. Their strategy is to choose nations with things they want, like minerals, oil and produce of various kinds and ideally select an “under-developed” country. These are countries which do not currently display the level of technology and organisation that their own countries do. These “underdeveloped” agrarian countries usually have a leader who is easily corrupted and will virtually give away the natural resources of his country for a very small amount relatively speaking. But in terms of his own wealth the amount is very large, so the corrupt leader is very happy to do that. He does not mind that his people are suffering, because now he has become one of the 10% and of course he expects that the 90% will suffer, because that is just how it is. In addition, the clever “well-developed” nations tie the underdeveloped nation to some kind of loan arrangement which they will never be able to pay off. In this way repeated plunder is made easier for the developed countries. This is considered to be "brilliant tactics" by the 10%. Because of this propensity for plunder amongst the 10% of the “well-developed” nations, there is a great need for armies to go to the underdeveloped countries and “talk them into” giving what is asked for if the leader of the “underdeveloped” country does not agree to be corrupt straight away. In order to get young people in “developed countries” to join these very necessary “armies” and freely give their lives so that the 10% can be even wealthier, there needs to be lots of very clever “spin” perpetrated by government. This usually revolves around a “threat” of some kind. The most useful threat which governments have devised at the present time is “terrorism” and it has served them very well for scores of years in enlisting people to sacrifice their lives at a young age. The 10% are also helped in this endeavour by “action” movies, which depict macho men using guns and seeming very important, which is, of course, what the 90% would like more than anything to be, since their lives feel quite meaningless generally speaking. People who join the army usually believe that they are heroically saving their country from some outside threat. This “spin” works a treat and the 10% of power possessing beings are very delighted with its efficacy. There are many blunders in war, and while there are always apologies, no one in authority seriously worries how many blunders there are because they know the 90% are entirely expendable and as long as the armies “en masse” get more resources for the 10%, no one amongst the power possessing beings really cares which individuals die. Nonetheless the apologies of the 10% for these debacles are always prolific and seem “heartfelt” since this is a requirement of “spin”. Honour medals and gun salute burials feature prominently. At various intervals throughout history there have been common man revolts, when the 10% pushed harder than they should have. Occasionally a few of the 10% lost their heads to the guillotine and so on. Knowing this, they do try to be careful not to go beyond the limit of endurance, and they have various checks and measures to ensure they give “just enough” to ensure that the masses do not rebel against them. Still, occasionally an –ism develops, a “90% man” movement which has a philosophical basis to it and a practical plan for reversing the 90/10 rule, or at least sharing things more equitably. There are the -isms of Marxism, communism, socialism, radicalism, and so on. While some of these movements start off well enough, so far they have all ended up back into the 90/10 rule after as little as 20-50 years. The only thing is that the faces in the 10% change. History shows that the –isms don’t really work so far as lasting and equitable sharing of abundance and wealth is concerned. If someone from the 90% miraculously made it to the ranks of the 10%, would they do any different from them? They might just decide to “fall in line” with the 10% because it was easier to do so and because their life was so terrific now they totally forgot what it was to be the 9-5 job slave living from month to month. It would be easy to justify how it was special skills or great luck that got them to the 10%, so why should they worry about the 90% now. We often call that ability to change stance with changed fortunes “human nature”. Most people are aware that the world order is "cock-eyed", but the 90% feel powerless to change it so keep quiet and accept it and lose more and more confidence in themselves. But they are not powerless to change it. They don’t have to “strike”, don’t have to give up their jobs, don’t have to be rude and aggressive in putting forward their viewpoints. What they can do is not accept mentally any of the lies of the 10%. Mentally accepting something which is less than what someone truly wants is debilitating. Do not support the restrictions in your life by giving them your attention or "believing" in them. Never “buckle under” mentally to the persuasion of the 10% if you know in your heart that it is not correct. Know that you have an option, and your option is to control your thought. Controlling your thought by always envisaging the life you truly want will ultimately produce the best result for world consciousness and human evolution. When someone displeased their lord 4 or 5 centuries ago, that lord could simply get them put to death, very publicly, no trial, no questions asked. Could they do that now in the west? No they could not. People in power now have to go through many more “hurdles” before they can get that kind of result. Why has that happened? Because collective world consciousness has moved against the idea that it is ok for someone in power to cheaply dispose of another person. The thought of the common man, the 90%, against the practice of indiscriminate killing of the population, took on its own life and then the 10% knew that if they continued it they would have “gone too far” and risked losing their own lives should the masses rise up and rebel. The power of thought does work, and we can develop and hone our skills in using that power that we all have. World consciousness exists as a separate substance which permeates the existence of all of us. Our individual thoughts freely exchange with world consciousness in a two-way street relationship. Our individual thoughts are “coded” substance, which join the common pool of thought, are received and exchanged and are capable of influencing events. Hundreds of years ago when only face to face communication was possible, (no telephone, computer or mass media transmittal of any kind) the same inventions spontaneously appeared in different far-flung countries at the same time even though those countries were effectively isolated from each other. This “coincidence” happened because the inventors in each country were tuned into world consciousness and could freely receive the shared world thoughts on this higher plane. You can help in hastening the process of moving world consciousness in favour of the 90% through developing your power of conscious thought. This needs some directed effort on your part, but your own life will be radically improved through developing and using conscious thought as often as you can. To recap: • The resources of the world are abundant and are freely given to everyone by the Almighty • But the wealth of the world is held by roughly 10% of the world’s population who, by luck or circumstance managed to gain its control, including any inventions that may arise • World consciousness is prevented from evolving as quickly as it could because the 10% are fearful of losing the advantages they have and use that same tool of fear to retain their power and control thought • the 90% are too busy working and frightened of losing the little they have to think about this situation much, and feel powerless to argue against it. • This can all change if people change the habitual way they think. • Everything begins with thought, so prevailing world thought (world consciousness) can either hasten or slow man’s rate of evolution • Thinking positive thoughts and refusing thoughts which sap your personal power increases positive world consciousness. • This applies to both the 10% and the 90%, but when it comes to thought energy, 90% outweighs 10% and is more efficacious.

Beware – the 10% power hungry pseudo-intellectual environmental commie government loving elite – are more dangerous then the 10% moneyed elite.
Illuminism is the process by which the former class that you mention is absorbed and subsumed by the latter. AFAIKS it's the same 10 percent in question.
I agree, nowadays the uber rich lead the pseudo intellectuals --- perhaps that has always been the case.
