Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued orders to his Northern Command’s (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to “begin immediately” increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.

According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks “numerous” meetings with his war council about how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nations banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a “last ditch gambit” whose success is “far from certain”. I'd like to hear what the troops have to say about that!

I'd need confirmation of this from sources that I've heard of, that are based more in reality than speculation. If true, it's interesting. I will have to wait for confirmation however.

Apparently...if this is true, we won't have to wait for long. We'll see. Better to prepare for the worst and hope for the best than get caught with you pants down around your ankles. I have no doubt SOMETHING is in the works however...it was only several months ago that the pentagon came out and stated that wanted to be able to place 400 thousand troops on American streets while at the same time the National Guard and Army website were advertising for "internment camp" specialists.

No doubt. I tell my kids the same thing. Better to have something and not need it than to need something and not have it. I try to keep the lessons worded simply and directly, and they seem to stick. Another is "take care of your tools, and your tools will take care of you". :)

Most people are realizing something is SERIOUSLY wrong in our government. The reaction varied from so what (not many) to very real concern (mostly). People ARE waking up at an amazing rate...if you had discussed these things with people 10 years ago they would have called you a nut...NOW, after the loss of their home values and their 401K's they are VERY open to listening

My neighbors were quite apolitical until the last year. Now I'm getting pinged for information about firearms by them. And many of them are not wanting them for "home protection", if you catch my drift. It's heartening in a way to see this finally occur. Took long enough.

Good.

Went to the gun show down at Vet's Memorial in Columbus on Saturday with my son. Guns were *way* overpriced, as was the ammo. I understand that by this year's standards they were below retail, but man, way too high. Plus I could find no/none/zero metric pattern magazines for my FAL. .308 steel core was going for $115 for a 120 round NATO battle pack. Outrageous.

I expect an "event" in the near future...I pray I'm wrong, however, history past, would verify the concern.

I remember just a few (very, very few) years ago getting those battle packs for like $25.00 to $40.00 or so at certain dealers. This year, bing, through the roof!

Freedom loving people are getting ready for some tough times.

Let's hope they're smart enough to realize that they need plentiful food in storage, water purification, a non-electric/non-gas place to cook, a way to gather water, a way to provide heat in winter and non-hybrid seeds once the thaw comes.

I fully endorse owning and using firearms. But bullets aren't going to feed the kid, or defend what you do feed them from looters and thugs.

Well, if they can't handle the measly little insurgencies in Iraq and Afghanistan, they're really going to get butchered here.

Let me get this straight.

Obama's health care plan shall be written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it, signed by a president who smokes and has no birth certificate, funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is overweight and financed by a country that is nearly broke.

It's still pretty damned hard to fight an 80 million man plain clothes army. It's why the Japanese declined to invade America. They knew the hurdles.

And if they carted in UN troops I virtually guarantee the desertion of 1/4 of our native armed forces to "our side" in such a hypothetical.

Are you aware of the fact that the pentagon came out several months ago stating they wanted to be able to put 400,000 troops on the American streets or that GOARMY.GOV and NATIONALGAURD.ORG were advertising for "interment camp specialists" within that same time period. This may, or may not, be true...but it certainly isn't a far stretch from those activities we, in fact, know to be verifiable.

The total population of the army is 539,675 (active duty); navy 331,682 (active duty); air force 327,452 (active duty); marines 203,000 (active duty). Only a very small percentage of those numbers are in the combat arms. The rest are support and combat service support. Besides that, a huge number of the combat arms troops are not even in the Continental United States anyway. They are serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Korea and Okinawa, among other places.

For Obama to do what the article is suggesting, he would have to either pull back all of the combat troops from the various theaters of operations throughout the world or rely on the combat arms troops of the guard and reserve. I do not see either happening.

When huge numbers of troops are pulled from Iraq and Afghanistan and brought back home, THEN I may believe it.

I think the 1 mln he wants is very optimistic and I don't believe we have more than 150k federal agents in this country. Even if we fell on the "high side" numbers, I don't believe it to be enough to stop 80 million determined Americans fighting for freedom, and, as stated, if they bring in UN "peacekeepers" all bets come off the table. This article is, like I stated, not vastly different than what was stated from the pentagon. The question needs to be asked...why does the pentagon feel the need to have 400,000 troops on American streets and why the need for internment camp "specialists".
