Title: Senator Lieberman calls for ‘preemptive’ attack on Yemen

Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Senator Joeseph Lieberman (I-CT), who leads the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, has a vision of “tomorrow’s war.”

“Somebody in our government said to me in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, Iraq was yesterday’s war,” Lieberman explained. “Afghanistan is today’s war. If we don’t act preemptively, Yemen will be tomorrow’s war. That’s the danger we face.”

Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA), also appearing on the program, seemed to agree, calling an attack against Yemen “something we should consider.”

“Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan — the Army officer who killed 13 people in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood in November — was linked to Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical Muslim cleric now based in Yemen,” The Hill noted.

Unnamed administration officials told US media in the aftermath of the thwarted attack that their suspect had confessed to traveling to Yemen and receiving training by Al-Qaeda.

Lieberman’s saber rattling against Yemen is “likely to be echoed in the days ahead as a growing number of neoconservative and conservative foreign policy voices have used the attempted airline attack to call into question the tactics Obama has applied to curb terrorism,” Sam Stein added.

In a borderline-livid post, Firedoglake writer Spencer Ackerman assailed Lieberman’s hawkish stance. “Is it a mistake to respond to this with more than ridicule? Maybe, but if not: it’s a ludicrously blithe and cost-free assertion to say that we need to take preemptive action in Yemen. What the fuck does Joe Lieberman know about Yemen? What does anyone in the Washington policy community know about Yemen? Fucking nothing except that (a) there is an apparently growing al-Qaeda presence there; Abdulmutallab told investigators that he got hooked up with his botched explosive there; the USS Cole was bombed there; there’s an important port there; and… that’s it.”

“The good news is that while progressives basically need Joe Lieberman’s vote in the Senate to pass domestic legislation, thus giving him a ton of leverage over what happens, nobody needs to listen to him about Yemen,” blogger Matt Yglesias opined.

Wouldn’t it be much, much easier to eliminate any and all ( so called ) threats to the US by just blowing up the whole damned world? Our congressmen and senators are absolutely INSANE!

this poster echoes my sentiment.

The Islamic World is a target-rich environment. Lots of nutball mullahs and Imams in that community perfectly happy to shoot their mouths off on video and send it out. Plenty of morons happy to dig out their AKs and Korans and make videos screaming "Death to America" with their little militias and we KNOW how Congress LOVES militias.

Then there are the yahoos with their explosives belts. You know the type. They've lost everything, have nothing left to lose, so they lose it.

Just ask Salman Rushdie how peaceful the Islamic world is. All he did was write a book.

It is a target-rich environment for anyone looking to point fingers.

Its not just Israel and telling the Jews to pack up and go - where exactly? - is not going to happen and nobody is going to pack them up by force and march them off - to where exactly?

So like it or not, Israel will continue with or without any outside assistance mostly because there is nowhere else to send the Israelis off to and they aren't going to leave voluntarily.

Behind every American war is a bagel bender.

Yemen seizes 'Israel-linked' cell

Map of Yemen

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has said the security forces have arrested a group of alleged Islamist militants linked to Israeli intelligence.

Mr Saleh did not say what evidence had been found to show the group's links with Israel, a regional enemy of Yemen.

The arrests were connected with an attack on the US embassy in Sanaa last month which killed at least 18 people, official sources were quoted saying.

Israel's foreign ministry has rejected the accusation as "totally ridiculous".

"A terrorist cell was arrested and will be referred to the judicial authorities for its links with the Israeli intelligence services," Mr Saleh told a gathering at al-Mukalla University in Hadramawt province.

"Details of the trial will be announced later. You will hear about what goes on in the proceedings," he added.

The 17 September attack was the second to target the US embassy since April. Militants detonated car bombs before firing rockets at the heavily fortified building.

Mr Saleh did not identify the suspects, but official sources were quoted saying it was same cell - led by a militant called Abu al-Ghaith al-Yamani - whose arrest was announced a week after the attack.

An Israeli foreign ministry spokesman said the Yemeni president's statement was without foundation.

"To believe that Israel would create Islamist cells in Yemen is really far- fetched. This is yet another victory for the proponents of conspiracy theories," Igal Palmor said in remarks reported by AFP.

The time for annihilating Yemen, was in 1999, when the USS Cole was attacked. We did nothing then, and that's when Lieberman was a full tilt traitor commie Dem.

Why would we need to attack Yemen Now?

What we should be doing, is passing a law making it illegal for anyone in government to have dual citizenship. Once that is done, a lot of things will change in this country.

Uncle Joe needs to educate himself on domestic matters. Like the fact that the health care bill being rammed through is going to decimate the economy. People don't have money to spend now, what makes him and others think it's going to create prosperity?

It's time to seriously rid ourselves of these non-thinking parasites. Attacking Yemen would be the equivalent of punching the retarded cousin, of the kid who bloodied your nose 10 years ago.

The time for redress with Yemen was then. Not now.

Better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not.

I think it "looks" like a good idea ... but implementing it is another thing if the secondary nation (Israel) is willing to hide their spies without formal citizenship.

Uncle Joe is well versed in FDR economics - ie. that a deep depression creates many able unemployed male bodies and that politicians can make use of those bodies to fight foreign wars and that war can be followed by prosperity and if that happens every grass eater forgets to blame the politicians for the human collateral damage on the battle fields. It's a cycle that Joe and his keymosabee, Arlen, want to test in late 2010 - post elections - especially now when they have their egotistical, empty-headed, affirmative action rock star in the WH.

True, but then they are made vulnerable by hiding the "dual" citizenship and there can be no doubt that they are spies or provocateurs etc., ....

Pretty much. You destroy the economy so that the military looks more attractive as a way of "earning a living". You pump up the patriotism hurdy gurdy and say all foreign wars, regardless of the reason for them, are a "patriotic duty" and then ship the cannon fodder off to die in some hellhole thinking that "they are making the world safe for democracy". Same line that was used to sell WWI but because history is no longer taught, other than highly selectively and slanted toward developing "the right viewpoint", the suckers are ignorant of how they are being marched off to die to the "same old tune". And the wealthy Plutocrats get richer and more powerful and the poor die. See, it's a win-win - for the psychopaths in charge.

Revelation 2:

9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Jeremiah 31:

31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Hebrews 8:

6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 12:

24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Galatians 3

16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Jewish lobby wages war on Christmas trees

Lobby for Jewish values passes out fliers against hotels, restaurants putting up Christmas trees, other Christian symbols ahead of civil New Year, say businesses who do so risk losing kosher certification

The "Lobby for Jewish values" this week began operating against restaurants and hotels that plan to put up Christmas trees and other Christian symbols ahead of Christmas and the civil New Year.

According to the lobby's Chairman, Ofer Cohen, they have received backing by the rabbis, "and we are even considering publishing the names of the businesses that put up Christian symbols ahead of the Christian holiday and call for a boycott against them."

Fliers and ads distributed among the public read, "The people of Israel have given their soul over the years in order to maintain the values of the Torah of Israel and the Jewish identity.

"You should also continue to follow this path of the Jewish people's tradition and not give in to the clownish atmosphere of the end of the civil year. And certainly not help those businesses that sell or put up the foolish symbols of Christianity."

The Jerusalem Rabbinate also works each year to ensure restaurants and hotels receiving kosher certification from the Jerusalem Religious Council do not put up Christian symbols.

According to a senior official in the kashrut department, this is done each year consensually, but that businesses which do not meet this requirement may find their kashrut certificate revoked.

It should be noted that most of the hotels in Jerusalem and a significant part of the restaurants in the capital receive permanent kosher certification from the city's religious council.

Jews and Hasidic Gentiles -

The Talmud (Babylonian edition) records other sins of "Jesus the Nazarene": He and his disciples practiced sorcery and black magic, led Jews astray into idolatry, and were sponsored by foreign, gentile powers for the purpose of subverting Jewish worship (Sanhedrin 43a).

He was sexually immoral, worshipped statues of stone (a brick is mentioned), was cut off from the Jewish people for his wickedness, and refused to repent (Sanhedrin 107b; Sotah 47a).

He learned witchcraft in Egypt and, to perform miracles, used procedures that involved cutting his flesh—which is also explicitly banned in the Bible (Shabbos 104b).

The false, rebellious message of Jesus has been thoroughly rejected by the vast majority of the Jewish people, as G-d commanded. Unfortunately, however, this same message has brought a terrible darkness upon the world; today, over 1.5 billion gentiles believe in Jesus. These lost souls mistakenly think they have found salvation in Jesus; tragically, they are in for a rude awakening.

What is the true key to salvation? Those who return to the Law (the Seven Commandments for the Children of Noah, according to the eternal covenant made with Noah in Genesis 9) and who assist the Jewish people (Isaiah 60, 61, 66) will be saved and will participate in the miracles and revelations, including worshipping in the Third Temple, under the kingship of the Messiah. As described in many places, including Jeremiah 16:19-21 and Zechariah 8:20-23, all the old gentile religions of the world will disappear, and their followers will turn to the Jews for spiritual leadership. Until then, Christians are spiritually blinded, and cannot yet understand G-d's wisdom in the Bible.

www.noahide.com/yeshu.htm

For many of you, this may be your introduction to the Noahide Laws, to the fact that they do exist and to the fact they are very real. Since these 'laws' have been written for the Gentile world one could reasonably consider that the Gentile world would have been made publicly aware of this fact.

We're discovering, though, that we no longer live in a reasonable nor sane world. In fact, mere words cannot accurately describe the breadth and depth of the darkness permeating this realm. It seems to have soaked into the very fiber of our being: into the minds, the thoughts, the language, the relationships, and most specifically the religious belief systems of the inhabitants of planet earth, as though both the planet and her inhabitants have been smothered by a "creeping crud" (to coin a phrase Steven Jacobson so aptly applied to what others have termed 'the matrix'.

My mind goes back to Jesus' words: "Ye are the light of the world"; and, "the Kingdom of God is within you". That light of the world within us IS the Light of God, the Love of God. Through our love and willingness to 'bear witness unto the truth', our Light so shines that others may 'see'. Darkness is after all merely the absence of light. Let us each choose to be that Light into the darkness.

Let us now look squarely at: the plan, the planners, and the planned genocide for those of us who would dare to resist becoming "Hasidic gentiles", their "Noachide children". These elaborate behind-the-scenes preparations have been made on our (Gentiles) behalf by the ancient Pharisaical/Rabbinical Talmudic priesthood.

According to the Pharisees, the Seven Noahide Laws were given to Adam and Noah before Moses received the first ten commandments, so in the beginning, all mankind was subject under them, although the Old Testament makes no mention whatsoever -- not even close -- to this event.

Then, Moses -- who possibly never existed, at least as the character portrayed by the priesthood in the Old Testament -- received from Jehovah the ten commandments, and subsequently the hundreds of statutes and laws applicable only to the 'chosen people'. Those are the six hundred thirteen statutes codified by Maimonides, as mentioned in a previous section.

The Noachide Laws were virtually unknown to most of us (and remain unknown by the majority of non-Jews) until we became aware of an innocent-appearing resolution passed by the U.S. Congress, signed by president George (Poppy) Bush on March 20, 1991 declaring the Noahide Laws to be the 'bedrock of our civilization' to which the world must return. It turns out that Jimmy Carter was the first president to sign the resolution, and every president since Carter has done the same.

The resolution, ostensibly passed to designate March 26, 1991 as "Education Day, U.S.A.", in fact has nothing whatsoever to do with education! As we shall see, it was in tribute to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, revered leader of the world-wide Lubavitch movement. The Lubavitchers are dead serious about the establishment and enforcement -- for the goyim -- of these seriously deadly laws. Although Schneerson is now dead, many Jew believe him to be the Messiah and await his return.

Read carefully the words in this resolution. Then, when you discover how deadly serious the movers of this movement are, you might return and read it again.

How about a pre emptive strike on liarmans head?

When did you become an anti-Semite?

Better be careful what you post about Jews, the ADL may pay you a visit. ;)

I'm sorry I said that. I find your posts interesting and often spot on.
