People listen to him, feel like they've accomplished something by doing so, and then go back to sleep. Limbaugh's function was/is PsyOps - by spending 3 hours a day saying bad things about Democrats after spending 8 years saying good things about Republicans who were every bit as corrupt - while furthering the official lies - all the while pretending to be an outsider - It's Professional Wrestling on the radio. Personally I hope they put him on oxygen, he throws up, and then drowns in his own vomit before anyone notices.
