Generally speaking, global warming is a FACT. And you can expect that temperatures around the world shall rise. So, I don't understand the basis of any local phenomena, particularly on a short term basis being used as argument against global warming.

It is not a fact. It actually has not been proven at all. And given the correlation with solar and planetary activity, I expect temperatures to decline.
