About all this proves is that a bunch of people slipped up in the hours and days immediately after the attacks, and were making careless or erroneous statements. How would Kerry have had inside knowledge? Bush didn't see the first jet hit the tower, he saw what we all saw - the second jet hit, which was replayed endless on TV for awhile. We know for a fact that Dubya was in a classroom, struggling through My Little Goat, at the moment that the first jet hit. It simply was another one of Dubya's innumerable misstatements and bloopers.

it's an odd damn thing...

theoildrum is promoted as one of the leading peak oil sites... but they are a limited hangout operation designed to channel discussion into "safe" paths... their MO includes rabid denial of any cause/effect relationship between peak oil and 9/11...

...any mention of israel is forbidden.

they also have a tendency to vilify russia and china... so all in all, you kinda have to wonder who's behind the outfit.

the url above will lead you to a discussion of whether or not peak oil will ever become common knowledge... this "leanan" character is the editor of the "drumbeat" news section that appears every day, and she thinks that her efforts to stifle thought about peak oil and 9/11 will be successful... or at least, that's what she says.

WNC Observer says, "I've been noticing an upsurge of "Peak Oil Is Here/Peak Oil Is A Myth", "Oil prices going up/Oil prices going down" stories. Don't be surprised by this. I fully expect to see such back-and-forth, along with a general rising of tempers, about all this for at least the next several years. Many here have said that the date for peak oil is going to be clear only in retrospect, and I suspect this is true.

the peculiarity of this situation becomes obvious when you stop and think about a peak oil site, which habitually seems to regard peak oil as the most important thing that's happened to humanity since god-knows-when, trying to escape the fact that, if peak oil is so important, then it's likely that peak oil, 9/11 and the ensuing operations in the world's biggest oil patch are all connected to each other.
