good article and story. such a tragedy. things have only gotten worse since Webb's death. while he may have committed suicide, i'm sure the circumstances were prodded in every way.

my first thought was that he was suicided.
And for the police, coronor, and national news media to instantly jump to "he committed suicide" explanation shows how joined at the hip they all are, and how corrupt they've all become.
Shot himself twice in the head.... Hell of a thing. You noticed that too, eh? Typical Arkansas suicide. Happens here all of the time.

Good article. However, IMHO there is no such thing as a right wing or left wing press. There is only a government propaganda organ that makes Pravda and Tass look like 3rd grade science projects by comparison.

Well at least he didn't slash himself 11 times on the forearms, cut his own throat twice near the jugular vein, handcuff himself, tie a rope around his neck, drag himself across some muddy grass for a mile, then shoot himself, such as what happened with Officer Terry Yeakey And then there's the "suicide" of reporter Danny Casolaro
Now THAT'S a little bit suspicious! But I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation. Seriously, we had a close encounter with "arkancide" with a lawyer friend of ours who was helping us here during the WW days. Two .22 bullets in the head.
The fifth anniversary of Webb’s death should be a moment for reflection, too, by progressives and independent-minded Americans that it is long past time to build media institutions that can support brave journalists who dare to tell difficult truths
