Touche! That message needs to be repeated over and over until it sinks into the minds of all those who have been dumbed down and brainwashed by our corrupt politicians. so would i. in a heartbeat, but that's not going to happen. the system is totally corrupt and controlled. i would love to see Ron Paul do something really radical like repudiate all of them in grand fashion. then pick up where he left off. imo, he'd get massive grassroots behind him. it could be a great awakening. it would be a much better way to get his message out there. the timing is right like never before. again, IMHO.

Your first mistake and sadly not your last is to spout off believing you know where I stand in the political spectrum. You did the same thing chastising Jim Traficant earlier today. I believe each and everyone of us who post on these forums will sooner or later be investigated and visited by our corrupt government officials and that includes me. There is something honorable and patriotic when those of us speak out with conviction and real knowledge of persons and issues. To spout off with half truths and innuendos(sp) does nothing to help our situation, nor our character. Only fools do that. It is one thing to accidentally misquote or by ignorance and every effort should be made to correct our mistakes as soon as we learn of them. Can you guess where you stand? We may never know why Ron Paul quit the last presidential race nor know exactly why he chooses to stay in the republican party. Maybe some day he will enlighten us. I am 66 years old and not in very good health. I will speak out against the tyranny we are being ruled by when ever I can. Those of you who have no backbone and are awaiting a knock on the door would be wise to just disappear from these forums before you disappear period. For one, I'm not worried about that. I'm just a little indian, not a Big Chief. It's a big country, and they don't have enough people to come get us. It seems to me that this is what keeps people from speaking up. It's the fear that they will get that midnight door smash. But then again, I suppose if they are intimidated by that into keeping their mouths shut, they won't be of much use when things get really bad.

We agree the system is totally screwed and corrupt. But Ron Paul is in the best possible place he can be. There in congress he's a thorn in the side of the system. Making a grand show of an exit in protest would be a flash in the pan. Big & bright, and then it would be over. All it would do is make people like us feel good for a couple days, seeing a hero in action. But then he's gone. And the only people that would be impressed are people like us NOT the people who need to "get it", which is the bulk of Americans. In congress, he's on c-span and he gets on various shows giving a common sense perspective, and the economic crash has proven to the mainstream that he's credible. Out of congress, he loses all that. If you agree with me that you'd fire everyone in congress *except* Ron Paul, how can you also say that it would be a great idea that he resign from it and leave it to the rest of the crew to run? No, I don't hold out hope that the Republic can be saved. Ron Paul winning the Prez was my last hope for that. But Ron Paul should stay right where he is doing exactly what he's doing.
I'm disappointed, Cyni. Both your replies were kinda lame. Maybe an off-night for you. Seeing how I'm in Ecuador, I may well be less a part of the system than anyone else posting here. My expenses into the US economy, and therefore my funding of the empire, is at an all time low.
We don't have the luxury of time. Time is on their side. They have over a hundred years headstart destroying this country and forcing a one world government upon us. They are even getting bolder and hardly try and hid it anymore. We have precious little time left before they complete their mission. They keep smacking us in the face with all this outlandish legislation, robbing us (the poor) and repeatedly giving to the rich. They keep egging us on hoping we won't revolt until and when we will never be able to successfully revolt. When they have enough weapons like the ones that burn people and the ones that make insane driving noises, they will be coming. They have destroyed our economy, our pensions, and robbed our treasury and we sit idly by. Maybe when they come and kill our first born, maybe then we might act. But maybe by then it will be too late. They are masters at incrementalism and are destroying us from within while pretending our enemies are from outside the country. Just remember, roe v wade and the removal of prayer from our schools was basically caused by two people. When they are ready, they will come for our last means to resist; our guns. We do see this in different ways. You seem to think that they have it locked, and their victory is assured, because we haven't revolted already. The way I see it, things aren't even close to being bad enough for that to happen yet. But it can get to be bad enough overnight. You can only push people so far. The reason most of us are here is because we have already been raked over the coals, or we see it happening to others and we don't like it. There seems to be this idea among many patriots that these powers are on par with God himself in controlling what happens everywhere, all the time. The great depression was planned, WWI & WWII was planned, AIDS was planned, H1N1 was planned, the cold-war was planned, 911 was planned, and now I hear the Haiti earthquake was planned. While I do believe that there are attempts of national manipulation that takes place, I do not believe that every last event is staged by some modern day Wizard of Oz such that there is no escape and everything is preordained for the next 1000 years, and the only say we patriots have in the matter is how we will defiantly die, maybe taking a couple of their lowest minions with us. (Maybe). Yes the laws of physics & economics are still in play and always will be. The public is a beast no one will never fully tame. Any people at the top, though they have lots of power, still grow old, get sick and die. They still must deal with the practical limitations of whatever power they have.

Gather army field manuals on combat lifesaving, small unit tactics, the Ranger handbook, and guerrilla operations while you can still get them. Purchase paintball guns and rifles go out into the woods and practice fire team and squad level operations. If this is what you are truly afraid is going to happen, then there are a myriad of things that you should be doing locally and whining that others aren't doing what you think they should be doing is not one of them. Hey here's an idea! Instead of whining that you can't find any leadership on the internet, try becoming a leader yourself at the local level by accomplishing the above objectives. Teddy Kennedy was on 'the list' IIRC. I recently flew and received a pat down after passing thru their detection device. I have no idea why I was selected, and I don't care. If I can avoid flying, I will and if I can't, they can ask me all the questions they want, or even take a peek at my wanker if it turns them on. Welcome to AmeriKa.
This was a typically mild Ron Paul speech, heard by the few, understood by fewer, and overwrought by his enthusiastic supporters. Some donations probably came through on account of this speech. That's fine with me.
I am lucky in that I have never been put into a position where I had no choice but to fly. Several years ago I had to take a trip to London, Ontario and seriously thought about it. Coincidentally though, I watched a short news clip on TV about passenger TSA complaints and that made my decision for me. I drove the (almost) 1800 mile round trip. While the drive was long (15 hours), it wasn't that bad of a drive, except up around Chicago where they were doing a bunch of road maintenance. This summer I have to make a trip to Minneapolis to take my son to a month long wrestling camp. That's going to suck. It will be about thirteen hours of listening to the kids fight among themselves. The I get to go pick him up again. Lucky me.

That is my opinion also. It seems to me that the various abuses communist countries inflicted upon their populations during the 20th century is proof that man will take a whole lot of shit before they decide to rise up...IF they decide to rise up at all. I don't see any type of uprising happening until people loose their access to the internet, cable TV and their video games. That seems to be the only thing the American people give a shit about. They sure as hell don't give a damn about loosing their liberties. Then again, when all everyone does is go to work and then come home to either watch cable TV or play their Play Station, what liberties do they have TO lose and when all their liberties have been taken away, will they even notice? I do not believe they will, at least not as long as they have those three things they won't.

I thought about that a lot when I was on the road. I had the time to ponder these things while dodging 4wheelers. I'd see all these people in their cars going only God knows where, and wonder how many would be at home on a board like this one, or on a range etc. The thing is, we don't know. Just because it appears that because people are going about their day to day business that they are oblivious to it all because of it. THat, IMO, is an illusion. There is the stereotypical sheeple that most believe are a great majority while we are a pitiful minority. This stereotype, IMO, is fed to us by the MSM. They have a vested interest in keeping these things under wraps and they never miss an opportunity to ignore us, or if they can't ignore us, to marginalize us. If you believe what the MSM says, or doesn't say, then there is no surprise that anyone would think we are a tiny bunch of nutcases in lala land. I normally dont discuss these topics in face to face conversations with people I don't know. But when I did, I've been pleasantly surprised to find like-minded people. I've also seen the opposite. To open things up, I've just mentioned "police state" or "9/11 / patriot act bullshit" and go from there. I think there are more out there than we realize.
