Anyone who continues to give Alex Jones any credibility after this incident is a fool. Some of you people should have listened to me years ago when I told you the guy was a fraud.
What puzzles me is that some people have been unable - stubbornly unable - to see what a joke Alex Jones is. I will be honest. It was wishful thinking, in my case. Did you "wakeup" to the reality that Alex Jones is nothing more than a phony?
This is a rough house to preach to. We're very capable of making our own minds up. I'm limiting my criticism to Jones based on this incident. I've said his conduct was an embarrassment, but that said, we're human and we all have bad days. Time will tell if this was one or something more. Given the faulty human condition we all display from time to time, the future of Jones is up to himself and a forgiving portion of his audience.
With respect to Mr. (ugh) Clean, I'd be more inclined to know who he "likes" as opposed to whom he berates.

Yes, time will tell. That said, AJ is hard to listen to. I, for one, find the clowning and low comedy tooth grindingly hard to endure. There's the hillbilly cop, the faux Brit aristo voice, the ninnying lib bit. For all his great memory and grasp of the many threads in a story and the depth and breadth of most of his guests, many listeners are scared to death to introduce anyone else to his show for fear that he'll go off at any moment into one of his self indulgent rants. He could get away with this stuff on, say, national TV. He avoids doing this stchick is his movies. It's almost as if he wants to limit the popularity of his internet broadcast to all but the most hard-bitten. It's a shame. The more paranoid among us will wonder if it is just accidentally so.

I haven't listened to him for the last few months. I was a semi-regular before that. Alan Watt is instant insomnia, and AJ was becoming a tad too preachy for me. Not that his info isn't accurate from all I can tell. When he first entered the scene, I thought to myself he'll burn out before too long. It's taken longer than I thought, but he's on the edge. He needs a month off for self reflection and relaxation, ASAP.

having said that, if he never addresses it or offers an apology (he should have already), that pretty much shows his true character which is megalomania, imo. i'm not willing to say or believe he's a complete fraud though. for the most part, i listen to his show for the guests he brings on and the discussions of current events.
That's me too. He has improved in his ability to retrieve guests almost instantaneously after significant events occur, and occasionally he'll let a caller talk long enough to expose something important that's taking place somewhere in the country. I have had to turn him off more often as of late because he gets on my nerves.

Well, I never said, and to my knowledge no one has ever said here that JOnes lies all the time. There is good info there. I think that where we differ is in why there is mostly good info, but mixed in are outright lies of commission and lies of omission, and innuendos, as well as actions that are intentionally disruptive like the OP demonstrated. THese things are demonstratively false, and yet they are said and posted for a reason. I have to ask myself why he does that, because it is done intentionally. Then, like someone else already posted, no new info is presented that isn't available elsewhere. What Jones does, any of us can do. Jones tries to portray himself as a leader. I wouldn't follow him into the kitchen, and I've laid out why that is.

Frankly it's the guests on these shows who deliver the information and provide the entertainment for me.
He is OWNED. He does what his masters tell him to do. He is NOT relevant. He is a puppet, and if anyone actually believes he isn't, shame on you for not using the brain God gave you. Exactly. Surely a man as successful and as high profile as Jones would be so big a threat to the elites as to fall foul of a fabricated scandal, if not and 'accident'? There are men who've managed to rise a lot higher than him (eg JFK) only to be done away with. Yet, here he is, alive and well, doing what he's been doing for years and years.

Some, yes. Many others? No. I disagree with you on that. They exchanged one set of leaders for another set. You can see it here on this thread from some people. They are more worried about unity, which means they want us unified under their leader, namely Jones, because they wont see a resistance without him. Jones didn't start the resistance. He just benefits from it.

A likely motive is to maximize advertising dollars. Greed and fear of getting too close to the truth are powerful motivators for someone in his position. Controlled opposition is unlikely at his small fry level. The PTB just don't care what someone off the mainstream media has to say. Cable/satellite TV and large circulation newspapers, plus research grant funding is where most of the control is exerted. However, we do hear rumblings that unstructured media like the Internet could be coming under more rigid control. This too, I doubt. The real control is built in to our culture, and that's been under development for more than a thousand years. The extent that it's intentional is really a side issue. We change our culture or we lose. It's that simple. One Alex Jones or a David Icke screaming about a laboratory-based flu epidemic or claiming that the 'Illuminati' are demon-worshiping global controllers with lizard DNA is hardly enough to make any difference. It's more entertainment than anything else. People taking advantage of mass society's vulnerability to central control could care less about these guys. They already have the public schools, the churches, the state and local governments, the main stream media conglomerates, and the scholars under strict control. That's all they need. And it was easy. If you think I'm pessimistic, I am. But if more people realize just how easy it was to take central control over our opinion-shaping institutions, and why, we could begin to change. So far, the "freemarketeers" are missing the point. Meanwhile, I say freedom and good living start inside of each of us and spread outward one person at a time. The central communications mechanisms are full of death and oppression, spread through incited fear and loathing. On our own we can do otherwise. It's a choice we all have to make.

All I'm saying is that with the marketplace of ideas as locked up as it is by safe thought leaders, the powers that be can pretty much let history take its course. They don't really need COINTELPRO and agents provocateur at this point. When Americans were schooled in less centrally managed institutions just 50 years ago, it might have been required. Here's a good public school product as an example. Remember as you're watching her that good Republicans say the same things.

I don't see any evidence here proving that he's controlled opposition. I think he could be controlling himself, so he just doesn't say what we want to hear. Now we're getting into easily hurled allegations without evidence. I'm tired of Jones for that very reason.
I don't doubt that, but I'd like to see some proof. Want to put a stop to it? Then people that claim this need to provide proof and expose it. No, I"m not addressing you on this, but website owners that claim this. They have logs that can prove it. So, prove it. I have yet to see that done.

Maybe not directly - a backlash too likely. But, I see in the Internet a trend that has happened and is happening in other sectors - gradual control by a handful of companies. Google the dominant search engine, Facebook seems to have it tentacles in most websites - note the frequency of Facebook links now on other websites. Youtube will eventually swallow up or crush other video hosting sites, and their censorship has been noted.
