Title: First Medina, now Shami unsure about U.S. government involvement in 9/11 attacks

Democrat Farouk Shami became the second gubernatorial candidate in two days to say it’s unclear whether the U.S. government was involved in the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

Shami’s comments today — which follow Republican Debra Medina’s yesterday — came during an interview on WFAA-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth. When a reporter told Shami he wanted to ask him the same question Medina was asked — whether the U.S. government was involved in the attacks — this was Shami’s response:

“I’m not sure. I am not going to really judge or answer about something I’m not sure about. But the rumors are there that there was a conspiracy. True or not? You know, it’s hard to believe, you know, what happened. It’s really hard to comprehend what happened. Maybe. I’m not sure.”

You can see the full interview with the Houston businessman here.

In the same interview, Shami also says that most of his factory workers are Hispanic because “you don’t find white people who are willing to work in factories.”

Historically, he said, when “white people come to work in a factory, they either want to be supervisors or they want to be, you know, paid more than the average person. And unfortunately they exit.”

9/11 "truth" is the kiss of death for politicians.

9/11 "truth" is the kiss of death for politicians.

Any truth about almost anything is the kiss of death to most of them, or you would think so by their aversion to telling it.

In this case, the "truth" is a wild conspiracy theory that makes any candidate who supports it unelectable.

BS! How is the truth ever a "wild conspiracy theory"? If the truth makes the government look bad does that make it any less the truth? And Debra Medina was right, there are a lot of questions about the events of 9/11, questions that have either been lied about or covered up. The Air Force stand down is one element of proof in a long list. Another being that building 7, the Salomon Brothers building, which was NOT hit by an airplane, fell into its own footprint late in the afternoon of 9/11 allegedly due to fire. But no other steel framed skyscraper has ever collapsed due to fire. And there is the fact that a reporterete from the BBC reported that it had fallen while it was still standing behind her. Now those are things that make normal people, people who aren't in bed with the government, go hmmmmmmmm.

How is the truth ever a "wild conspiracy theory"?

When it's 9/11 "truth."

Some of you folks desperately need to accept the fact that the 9/11 "truth" movement is basically dead. The conspiracy theory will live on just like the JFK conspiracy theory continues to live today. But don't get your hopes up that your wild theories will ever be proven because they won't.

The government is the entity positing the insane conspiracy theory. And anyone who believes it is pitiful.

How do planes usually crash into other things?

Well I believe those planes were hijacked by suicidal/homicidal Muslim crazies.

What do you think happened?

Do you believe the attack was planned and carried out by a bunch of Arabs in a cave in Afghanistan who hated us because of our alleged "freedom"?

No the attack was planned by some very intelligent Muslim crazies who plotted in Hamburg, Germany and trained in the US.

Why did the planes crash into the Twin Towers?

it's kinda hard to answer that, seeing as how the wreckage was cleaned up before a real investigation was done.

maybe you'd like to explain why the neocons resisted the idea of an investigation, and had to rely on trial by media that convicted your patsies before the dust had settled?

maybe you'd like to explain why your neocon friends said they needed a new pearl harbor just before they were installed ---by a phony election recount supervised by a PNAC signatory--- into positions from which they could make their new pearl harbor happen.

maybe you'd like to explain how divine neocon intervention caused the neocons' new pearl harbor to happen just a few months after neocons were installed into positions from which they could make it happen.

sooner or later, politicians will catch up with the voters on this 9/11 business.

i guess then it will be time for martial law, concentration camps, and shooting a few million intellectuals.

Not really all that much of a surprise. He's usually all over the lot with his opinions, probably having about as much to do with how much sauce he has had on any given day. buck is not someone I would want to stand beside me if push came to shove. He might decide to stop shooting in the same direction, know what I mean?
