WASHINGTON (AP) — Forty-nine states have snow now, from the Gulf Coast's Redneck Riviera to the skyscrapers of Dallas. The lone holdout? Hawaii.

Although snow falls every winter on Hawaii's two tallest volcanoes, the National Weather Service in Honolulu said there was no snow in the state Friday.

SCIENCE FAIR: January was Earth's warmest on record

Snow had even fallen in the Florida Panhandle and along the South Carolina coast. However, snow has been lighter than usual in New England. Forecasters say El Nino has driven many of this year's storms southward.

Weather service meteorologist Brian Korty says it's extremely rare to have so many states with snow.

See? That proves there's Global Warming.

See! That proves that Global Warming is a real and present danger. Since, it is colder than normal across most of the country, and D.C. had to shut down for snow, just goes to prove that Global Warming is real. Why else would it be so cold and snowy? /Satire

Up here in the Willamette Valley we are low 50's and wet, wet, wet. The wet is normal but temperatures have been running 3 to 5 degrees above normal on average. It is an El Nino year.

And "Global Warming/Climate Change" morons continue to go running across the playing field with their fingers in their ears screaming "I can't hear you I can't here you I can't here you..."

Oregon white leg disease is epidemic here with the perpetual rain and clouds. The average Oregonian has enough species of athlete's foot fungus to do a two hour National Geographic special on.

And here we have only one thing to say to people who carry umbrellas as the rest of us are watered with mist; "go back to California, you foreigner, you."

Because if you use one, you sure ain't from here. <./teasing>

I hate umbrellas. I really do. They make me feel claustrophobic.

Makes me think of Oneonta Gorge National Botanical Reserve (near Multnomah Falls if you are not familiar with it). It has over 200 different varieties of moss and lichen - not to mention the various fungi.

I can attest to the "foot fungus". "Miracle Anti-Fungal" used regularly does a reasonable job of keeping it under control. ;-)

I still haven't found a cure for white legs though - other than wearing shorts all summer. Unfortunately while my Indian Blood will show up in my face - my pale legs are a dead giveaway that I am not full blood.
