The following event occurs in Greece, at the site of the original Olympics, which were founded as early as 776 B.C.E. to honor the Olympic gods. This is probably off the subject of Deasy's post, but I've known for some time there is a lot of occult business behind the Olympics. _________________________________________________________________________ The archaeological evidence suggests that the Israelites themselves were polytheists before they were taken to Babylon in captivity. That was well after the Greeks had established their pantheon. It wouldn't surprise me if Abrahamic authors had disparaging things to say about the Greek theology.
