posted by MAX BLUMENTHAL on 10/14/2008 @ 01:55am On April 29, 2008, 14 leaders of Alaska's black community met with Gov. Sarah Palin to voice discontent with her minority hiring record. Palin's response, which was first reported by journalist Earl Ofari Hutchinson, only compounded her icy relationship with her African-American constituents. Gwen Alexander, the president of the African-American Historical Society of Alaska, told me that Palin stated defiantly that she had no intention to hire any minority staffers. And according to Bishop Dave Thomas, senior pastor of Anchorage-based African-American church Jesus Holy Temple, the Palin administration excluded black business owners from the Alaskan oil and gas pipeline board. "We wasn't even able or allowed to go into the meetings" to seek contracts for the pipeline, Thomas told me. Palin further alienated Alaska's black community by becoming the first Alaskan governor in recent memory to not recognize the Juneteenth celebration of the emancipation proclamation. "She doesn't hire any black people, she doesn't have any on her staff, so it's not a surprise that she doesn't support our Juneteenth celebration," Alexander said. How many blacks are in Alaska to begin with?? I'm guessing that they're really a minority up there.

The only real problem anti-immigration types have with the non-whites already here is that they won't adopt Haitians. They "refuse to assimilate." Their "culture is incompatible." THAT is not our problem. I was thinking the same thing you were. How many "African Americans" live in Alaska? 25 or 30 maybe? And whoever heard of Juneteenth? Sounds like something someone who would get excited in a shiny object factory would come up with if you know what I mean.
Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end. 21,000 black people in Alaska. Approximately 3.5 to 4.6 percent of total population depending on what website you rely on. Somewhat more in urban areas.Approximately 5.8 percent in Anchorage.
I live in a 99% white area and admit truthfully that I don't miss the negroes or the antics that seem to be an integral part of their ethnicity. I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, in a neighborhood called (Brightwood) that was a lower income area consisting of all races, so I'm quite familiar with the pros and cons of diversity. Living away from minorities eliminates much unnecessary stress and it should rightfully be considered nothing more than a free choice to live away from them without the racist tag. I don't care about their race, it's their behavior pattern of destroying everything they touch that I find repulsive. When people determine that they have to accept problematic neighbors because they're black they should be committed to an insane asylum.
Prior to the Federal Reserve Act, no political dreamer was ever wild enough to think of breaking down the lines which separate the States, and of compounding the American People into one common mass of slaves. Yet, this is exactly what has happened under Social Security, by creating a revenue base for the collection of interest on a fictitious national debt owed to the Federal Reserve banks, in other words, slavery to the national debt under the so-called 14th Amendment.
