Debra Medina agrees that 9/11 truthers' beliefs are 'despicable' (AUDIO)
February 21, 11:57 PM
LA County Libertarian Examiner Martin Hill

After being interviewed by Glenn Beck and characterized by the talk show host as a '9/11/ Truther',

Debra Medina issued a statement Feb. 11 on her website regarding the Beck interview. She stated in part, "I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.... The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered ..."

Questioned by Dallas talk show host Mark Davis last week, Medina had stronger and more derisive views of 9/11 truthers, agreeing with the host that anyone who dare would believe that the U.S. government was involved in the 2001 attack is "despicable'. Partial transcript:

Davis: "...it would have been over in a day, if after the Beck thing, you'd have said boy, I'm sorry, I messed up. I should've identified this 9/11 truther movement as the despicable paranoid cult that they are, what a horrible hateful belief to have in your head that 9/11 was an inside job. Why didnt you do that?

These talk show pundits are propaganda specialists. Medina's handlers are telling her to back away from the 9-11 truth issue altogether.

Listening to this Talk pundit (Mark Davis) begin the interview, he loads the conversation with the Beck-Medina 9-11 truther stuff commenting that he only wants to clarify her position and then he throws in the "despicable" terminology twice ... he guided the conversation and she followed.

It would not have done her any good to begin that interview with an argument with the host, however I do think she may have handled the issue without sounding as if truthers were "despicable" ...

The host introduced the despicable term as applying to anyone that would even think that George Bush and Dick Cheney would SLAUGHTER 3000 Americans as an excuse to enter war against Iraq.

While many of us here may think that's exactly what happened (I'm one of those "despicable" types) many truthers are simply asking for a new and complete investigation to get at the truth, which a majority on the 9-11 Commission admitted was incomplete and error filled because the intel agents and agencies lied.

I'd like to see Medina get elected and start an intense investigation into the Kennedy Assassination focusing on George Herbert Walker Bush. All of the terror that has taken place since Kennedy was murdered is related and has been orchestrated by the same rogue elements of the CIA-MOSSAD-MI-6 ... banker owned Intelligence Agencies with old man Bush directing much of it.

That bastard needs to be tried and hung.

I don't get you folks. She clearly dissed you and you still support her.

You say he did a hatchet job on her. What the fuck are you talking about. He gave her the opportunity before a large audience to talk about 911 truth. And you guys call it a hatchet job. Then she calls you idiots and you still want to vote for her. I can maybe understand wanting to vote for her. But why dis Beck for bringing up a relevant question?

But why dis Beck for bringing up a relevant question?

9/11 Truth is not an issue the state government of Texas can deal with at all. Now if it were the 1960s and we were dealing with the massive conspiracy/coverup that was the JFK assassination, I can see relevance in asking a potential governor about what he or she planned to do about that.

Having said that, I am puzzled, first of all, as to why Beck is interested in taking sides in a Texas GOP gubernatorial primary, as he obviously HAS very openly sided with Rick Perry (Beck wants to "French kiss" him), and also why this would be of interest to his audience outside of Texas. IOW, why did he regionalize his show that day and on following days when he continued to talk about the issue as he tried to equate continuing to question 9/11 with "Holocaust denial" or something?

Of course, the biggest blunder of all was the decision by Debra Medina to talk with Beck at all. Perhaps she was not wanting to give him a chance to demonize her in another way by saying "Debra Medina refused to go on my show." But that would have been preferable to what happened by accepting his invitation.

Why does Beck even have guests? Limbaugh doesn't.

Here is the way I see it. Beck thinks 911 "truthers" are nuts. That is his right.

He caught wind that Medina is a 911 truther.

So he thinks she is unfit.

So he asks her about it. (freedom of the press and speech)

She likely has some 911 truth sympathies. But she is a wisy washy politician (most are). So she calculates and decides not to mention that she is a closet truther.

All Beck did was ask a question. You may think it is not relevant to the governors race and others may agree. But the question is out there and she could have answered it anyway she wanted. She could have hit a home run out of the park and said she thinks it was an inside job. But she thought that would minimize her chances. So she chose her path. No sense getting mad at Beck, all he did was ask a question. A question people were interested in. I suspect christine and lodwick wouldn't have supported her if she thought 911 truthers were despicable like she said. She sounds like a typical finger in the wind politician.

So here we have it. Her and Beck think the same about 911. But you folks hate Beck and love Medina for that view. It isn't logical.

Beck's question to Medina is as relevant to Texas politics as is what brand of wacky religion she does or doesn't belong to. Medina's mistake was to not have refered Beck to one hooked nosed Jew, Larry Silverstein, and his "pull it" comment (not to mention the many billions of dollars his $25 million personal investment made him in a mere 6-weeks)

It is not up to you to decide what is relevant. Your just pissed because Medina turned out to be like the rest of them.

She shares Becks view of 911.

She is also against abortion like Beck.

Beck is right on most conservative issues. Except it bugs you guys and me that he is for the war and disses 911 truthers. Well guess what. You give a pass for Medina for having the same views.

Or do you think she is lying about her views on 911?

The system is set up to let anyone who looks like they will get a top government job know that they will be toast if they expose the crimes of the false flag operations of 9 11. She still should win as I would rather see someone win who is troubled by lies their arms were twisted to utter then an idiot who has no clue in the first place.

9-11 was an inside job, and until the truth is freely known and the criminals caught, prosecuted and hung there is no freedom in the United States. make no mistake about it.

to say i'm disappointed is a vast understatement. 9/11 is a litmus test for me too though, in this case, i could swallow a candidate's disbelief for the state's issues she would bring to the table. yeah, i'm choosing the lesser of 3 evils-- something i swore i'd never do again. well, my vote's been cast and i'm back in the f'ing system.

and what's really chapping my rear end is that Medina thinks i'm despicable. that means she also thinks that the families of the 9/11 victims who are asking questions are despicable too.

If it wasn't for Beck. You would have been less informed about your candidate. You should thank him for opening your eyes. ;)

After all that. I would probably vote for Medina too. If it was just Medina, Perry and who is it Hutchison? I would vote Medina.

So now you like Tull has opened this pandoras box. You have both voted or given money to a lesser of two evil candidates.

I have a prediction. At least one of you votes for the R nominee in 2012. So it is Romney, Palentry(or whatever his name is), Palin, Jeb, Cheney. Who you going to vote for? Or if not who is the lesser evil in your opinion.

I left Ron Paul out because he isn't going to run. Unfortunately he is to old.

i have to admit you have a point. ;)

that's like thanking an assassin for putting you out of your misery.

now debra medina has a hotline just like sarah palin's, direct to bill kristol's desk at the AEI, and debra doesnt have to think anymore.

what a relief that must be.

no wonder she's thankful that beck jumped her.
