Alex Jones had nothing to do with what she said.

I agree.

I actually hated to hear what Alex said because I, like others here, wanted to see a grass roots candidate in the Governor's Office.

However, when the day comes that a true grass roots candidate gets into that office, I don't want it to be some whishy-washy milque-toast, flip-flopper.

Prior to the Federal Reserve Act, no political dreamer was ever wild enough to think of breaking down the lines which separate the States, and of compounding the American People into one common mass of slaves. Yet, this is exactly what has happened under Social Security, by creating a revenue base for the collection of interest on a fictitious national debt owed to the Federal Reserve banks, in other words, slavery to the national debt under the so-called 14th Amendment.

When you're the outsider/under dog /Constitutional candidate you have to be smart ... the two cheer-leaders you mentioned were part of a fix.

The really sick part about this is that I believe her answer to Beck was what she actually believes. As you said, she should have stood her ground and attacked, or as beck likes to say quoting Jefferson; "Question (all) with boldness."

Medina had a good start but stumbled badly.

She isn't smart enough to do the job.

What - she wasn't smart enough to lie?

We complain because politician always lying to us - then we trash someone as dumb, when they don't play the lie game.

Shouldn't we get on her side and stay on her side - help her fight the corrupt powers that be - NOT trash her - calling her dumb.

I told you so. I know that no one likes to hear that. But I don't give a damn what you like, or anyone else here likes.

Now when another candidate says a few trigger phrases and words that give you a hard-on, or wet panties, think back to this time.

But you'll forget. Rinse and repeat, right? Maybe next time you will get your wish and a real candidate will win. Somehow I doubt it. But with you, hope springs eternal. Turn that frown upside down and smile, smile, smile. Right?

Fuck this place. How stupid can some "freedom" loving people be? You people should know better. You suckers claim you do know better. But like a dog, you go right back to your vomit, if that vomit looks like it might be tasty.

This from AP today...

" But Medina's detractors -- as well as several independent analysts -- say she may have self-destructed in a Feb. 11 interview with conservative commentator Glenn Beck by not immediately disavowing a theory that the U.S. government may have played a role in the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

The former Wharton County Republican chairwoman quickly sought to repair the damage, saying there was no doubt that Muslim terrorists flew the hijacked planes on 9-11. Medina now says she believes the incident may have strengthened her candidacy by galvanizing supporters, positioning her for a strong showing against her two Republican rivals.

If she believes that is true, she is riding the Titanic.

does alex have to make a big issue of the situation now, after the beck fiasco and medina's backpeddling?

nope.

but he's making an issue of it... when it's already obvious that medina got intimidated into betraying herself, and anyone who's been paying attention has already written medina off.

alex jones is just grandstanding ---that's his stock in trade--- trying to capitalize on medina's inexperience.

i spose there's a remote chance that medina could backtrack again, apologize for calling truthers despicable, and finesse it in such a way that she recoups some of the lost ground...

but she'd have to tell the whole truth, not just about 9/11, but also about the neocon machinery that's controlling the media and the political process.

a very long shot.

i doubt if this is very huge news to anyone outside texas... although it could become huge news if medina found a venue she could use to tell the whole truth.

like i said in the posts above, because of her inexperience, she was ambushed and responded badly.

there's a remote chance she'd be willing to tell the whole truth in an effort to redeem herself, but it's unlikely she'd be allowed a platform.

do you think, for instance, alex jones would allow her on his air to run through walt and mearsheimer's explanation of how america works?

not likely...

Beyond maddening here.

Whoever, if anyone, was prepping her for these appearances should be shot.

It's very frustrating and a clear warning to "grass roots" folk everywhere they need to be prepared to have an answer to this question for the Glen Beck's of the world. Say what you want about Jesse Ventura, but he would have given Beck a good dressing down if he had used the Medina tactics and questioning. Also remember Beck steamrolled Paul then warmed up to him and in the process changed his tune to sound more libertarian. I can easily see how the next person, unfortunately Medina, allowed their guard to be down and got ambushed. I said it then that Beck's ambush would likely work and she would spend the rest of her campaign defending her statement and then having to go back and re-define it over and over again. She did all that and finally stuck her foot in her mouth. And if none of that had worked, the final nail in her coffin was delivered the second the plane hit the IRS building in Austin. The media has had a field day with the anti-tax and limited government movement with this and they don't have to say Medina's name in order for that broad brush to paint her with it.

It's really unfortunate because Texas will be shackled with the slime bag Perry or the war criminal Hutchinson. As painful as her words were regarding 9/11, I would still support her and I would encourage others in Texas to let the emotion of the situation die down for a day or two before withdrawing support through votes and/or dollars. Flame away and make whatever opinions you want out of that, but that's my position on the matter and I'm not likley moving from it.

B. You are out of order and over the top.

Agreement and disagreement do not have to be expressed in tasteless displays of vulgarity. Sometimes it is handy for getting people's attention but then it is a device rather than a childish temper tantrum.

I suppose you would like to assert your own perfection, but for some reason you would seem to fall short. How shocking.

Who knows if she's seen any of Ventura's Conspiracy tv shows, or seen any of the videos that many of us have seen?

She surely could have turned the table on her tormentors by asking if they weren't for finding out the truth about any situation or problem in our country, and let it go at that.
