Harrisburg, Pennsylvania recently elected a bizarre black woman named Linda Thompson as its mayor. The subtext of her campaign — and now, it appears, her governance — is as follows: “Harrisburg had a white mayor for years. I’m black. The population of Harrisburg is majority black. So, put me in there. I’ll kick out the whites and replace them with blacks.” It was never clear to me that she was about much else. Thompson typifies erratic black behavior: she skated by for years as head of a non-profit group called “Loveship, Inc.” that gave her interest-free loans, collected unemployment benefits but drove a Mercedes-Benz, filed a lawsuit against a gas station after spraying herself with gas at what she alleged was a defective pump, and claimed that God had annointed her mayor. In office, she’s sweeping out the whites and replacing them with blacks, including the new police chief. The local paper, the Patriot-News, dutifully reports some of this weirdness, despite being a typically pro-black, politically correct city newspaper. In all its campaign coverage, it never got to the racial heart of her campaign against Stephen Reed, her white predecessor and a fellow Democrat, and Nevin Mindlin, the politically correct Jewish “Republican” who stepped in to oppose her in the general election. Bloggers were a little bolder, including one who coined the phrase “Zimbabwe on the Susquehanna.” None of this is really news — racist black mayors have been ruining American cities for years now by driving out business and tax-paying white residents, letting crime run rampant, and doling out goodies to their black friends. Zimbabwe on the Susquehanna, indeed. It’s what happens when the “racial molecular atmospherics” of a city go from white to black. But I had to chuckle at this story in the Patriot-News, in which Thompson, in the midst of thundering against whitey at a black church across the river, rips the paper itself. The paper then takes the highly unusual (and disfavored by professional journalists) step of quoting its Jewish honcho, David Newhouse: We share Mayor Thompson’s belief in the power of both education and economic opportunity, as well as the importance of an inclusive society,” said Patriot-News executive editor David Newhouse. “Despite her unhappiness with our reporting, we are strongly committed to being a partner with the black community, in Harrisburg and throughout the midstate, in these crucial goals. Chew on that one for a second. The response to a bat-shit crazy black mayor’s uninformed ranting is that the newspaper is “strongly committed to being a partner with the black community.” I might innocently ask if the paper is committed to simply telling the truth, but today’s “mainstream” — and strongly Jewish — media works overtime to bury the truth. My only comfort is that most people, particularly whites, do understand this much.

Prior to the Federal Reserve Act, no political dreamer was ever wild enough to think of breaking down the lines which separate the States, and of compounding the American People into one common mass of slaves. Yet, this is exactly what has happened under Social Security, by creating a revenue base for the collection of interest on a fictitious national debt owed to the Federal Reserve banks, in other words, slavery to the national debt under the so-called 14th Amendment.

Whites have been fleeing the inner-city for 5 decades, ever since the great society programs loosed the blacks to ruin the school system, attack the city budgets, and clog the legal system. Blacks are decimating what were once productive cities. The amount of money lost by whites forced to move out of what were once nice neighborhoods after blacks moved in and turned them to slums has to be in the hundreds of billions. Slavery was wrong and a bad idea that cannot be denied. Just the same it would be dishonest to say that blacks overall are a positive force in America today. Americans have been paying for slavery to the tune of trillions since it was terminated and in many other ways such as high crime rates, property value losses, and over flowing jails. 40 acres and a mule .... priceless.

No. This is a case of the MSM hiding the ugly truth because it's so unbelievable: Harrisburg Mayor Linda D. Thompson used a church pulpit Sunday evening as the keynote speaker of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle to commemorate Black History Month. It was about halfway through her comments that she shifted gears and began attacking former Mayor Stephen R. Reed, the Harrisburg City Council and The Patriot-News. Thompson spoke about “seizing office after 28 years under one man’s rule” with a “divine movement,” and criticized Reed for failing to have any members of the black community in his cabinet for the last 15 years of his administration. Reed did appoint almost exclusively African Americans to the school district’s Board of Control. She also chided Reed for taking care of the “haves’ while ignoring the “have nots.” Thompson criticized the current City Council for cutting her budget while increasing its own spending and leaving her spending plan with a $3.2 million deficit. She said that The Patriot-News is “trying to put a shadow over my character so you don’t follow me.” “Stop reading the mess in the paper. That paper will never define who I am,” Thompson said. “The Patriot-News doesn’t have the capacity to define who I am. Only God does,” Thompson said, vowing to “push back.” “I came to tell you the truth. Stop listening to the mess in the paper because it is not authentic. It’s another way of shaping your minds,” she said. Thompson’s remarks drew a loud and enthusiastic standing ovation from the crowd of around 150 people. “She had a lot of interesting points about what the media tells and what it doesn’t tell,” said LauVarre Williams, 32, of Harrisburg, a member of the God’s Army of Tenacity Fellowship Choir, which provided the music for the ceremony. Thompson was introduced by the Rev. Brenda M. Alton, the newly appointed ombudsman in the mayor’s administration. Thompson then shared how her great-great-great grandfather Robert Thompson Sr., a former slave, once owned more than 50 homes and more than 125 building lots in Carlisle. At the time of his death in 1910, he was one of the state’s largest black property holders, she said. Thompson’s remarks were billed as an address on Black Economic Empowerment, the National Urban League’s theme for 2010. Thompson talked about the economic disparities that result in African Americans’ high unemployment and poverty rates and lower wages. “Millions [of black Americans] are still denied the pursuit of happiness that our constitution guarantees,” she said. She pointed to Harrisburg, where blacks make up more than 55 percent of the population but own less than 10 percent of the city’s businesses and less than 5 percent of its land. The solution lies in a three-pronged strategy that incorporates better education for African American children, better opportunities for economic self- sufficiency for their parents, and protecting civil rights, she said. “We share Mayor Thompson’s belief in the power of both education and economic opportunity, as well as the importance of an inclusive society,” said Patriot- News executive editor David Newhouse. “Despite her unhappiness with our reporting, we are strongly committed to being a partner with the black community, in Harrisburg and throughout the midstate, in these crucial goals.”
