The Democrat Party is beyond corrupt, [i]t's also evil.

And what is this evil that triumphs when good men do nothing? What are we really talking about here and is it worth fighting for? Is it worth turning our heads and allowing evil to continue on while we do nothing? (and I count voting for a third party candidate when knowing that he has absolutely no chance of defeating the Democrat, and worse, actually planning and hoping to knock out the Republican candidate who otherwise might have defeated the Democrat, as doing nothing).

Corruption is accepting campaign cash from the Chinese in exchange for military hardware. Corruption is accepting campaign cash as bribes from Indonesian power brokers, from Buddhist Monks, from corrupt corporate moguls. Corruption is defined by the myriad criminal acts and practices of the Clintons and the Gores and their corrupt Democrat minions.

Corruption is the land grabs, the power grabs, the gun grabs, the bribery, the shady deals, the high crimes and treason. Corruption is the theft of campaign dollars through forced labor union deductions. Corruption is the systematic indoctrination of several generations of our youth with socialist dogma via government school systems. Corruption is the removal of God from public life and substituting in the evil homosexual/feminist agenda and the destruction of moral society. Corruption is lying to the public about global warming and the selling of the Kyoto treaty. Corruption is giving up our national sovereignty to the United Nations. Corruption is the abuses of office, obstruction of justice, lying, perjury and subornation of perjury. Poster Comment:

"Bush Bashing" seems to be the daily sport of choice here on 4um and it too often takes the form of published lies, slurs and exaggerations. This current FreeRepublic repost by Jim Robinson is intended as a partial antidote reminding us that the Democrat alternative may be worse, although I do not share JimRob's "evil-Democrat" vehemence. He's right on the facts. I resigned FR a year and a half ago because JimRob would not allow exploration there of voting for a Democrat as way to straighten out the Republican Party and set the nation back on a path toward small-government conservatism. The two-party system is now, however, utterly beyond hope IMO ...

Many here once posted on FreeRepublic.

Then we watched JR ban anyone who brought up a 3rd party around the 2000 election.

Then we watched him ban anyone who spoke out against what is passing for "free trade".

Then we watched him ban anyone who spoke out against this administration's open border policies.

(BTW, JR and his brother have a business in Mexico. They complained once about not being able to get enough labor because by their own explanation, all the Mexicans had gone north - a link was posted on LP).

Many of us left FR for LP. When Neil left, Goldi began banning people she disagreed with and allowing disruptive posters stay who agreed with her. There are/were many examples of how unevenly she moderated.

This is a more open forum. A great many ideas are allowed and explored here. This makes some people uncomfortable.

It shouldn't, it has always been the right of every American to speak his or her mind about politics and the govt. "Bashing" the current administration has been going on FOR 200 YEARS and counting.

The "bashing" here is the result of analysis of the facts and current events. Except for Katrina, MSM and Congress are not doing this, so it is left to the alternative media to be more objective. This forum is not Fox News, to be sure.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that I don't look at FR anymore so I'm not sure what they are up to. But I heard at the time, that Kristinn held a "support vigil" for "Jeff Gannon", who once posted there! I wonder if it was good for his more lucrative "part-time" business. Gannon/Guckert was "outed" to be a paid GOP shill (among other things). He may even have played a part in the outing of Plame/Wilson. His info, as one newswoman reported "was always golden". From whom did he get this 'golden' information?

Supporting someone like Gannon, is what FR has sunk to. If JR hadn't banned so many good people, I probably wouldn't even mind. It's a still a free country. But, JR clearly had a new agenda and purpose.

No doubt. I took a lap through FR last night to see what they had to say about the firearm confiscations going on in N.O.

Nobody seemed to be too upset about it, some going as far as to call any remaining citizens criminals, who deserve what they get, because they won't abandon their homes and put themselves at the mercy of the government.

Free Republic? Yeah, right. It's funny what's passing for freedom these days, and it damn sure sure doesn't smell like freedom.

From the 1st to the 2nd Amendment, hey why not? No it smells really fishy to me.
