It makes me wonder why human pilots would be necessary.

We know that we can remote control the planes from take-off to landing, so why bother?

We probably have remote controlled fighter drones. The stuff they show you is usually 20+ years old; think Stealth Fighter, SR-71 and all the other stuff that was kept secret for decades.

I've noticed a lot of recent race music making use of vocoders. That crap got old back in the 80's, but as long as sales are strong who am I to rock the boat?

Frampton was using a talkbox, and actually playing guitar.

Vocoders are just simple scrambling devices used to make voices sound like robots, like I said it got old after Neil Young released Trans...
