Trillions of $ will continue to be spent fighting wars on behalf of the defense industry complex's bottom line and to defend Israel and to keep that bullyboy nation economically viable b. Social Security monies have been plundered by Congress over the years - borrowed for other stuff. There is no there-there. This sad news will become apparent in the next 5 to 10 years when the Baby Boomers all come of retirement age and expect SS monthly checks. c. Obamacare is not health care. Obamacare is buying nannycare health insurance for the 10% of uninsured Americans at the expense of 85% insured Americans, whose taxes will increase and whose health insurance premiums will increase with decreased benefits. What will happen to Americans will be similar to what has happened to countries like Canada wherein the term "universal" health care is sold to the rubes to get their acquiescence to exorbitant taxes. In canada socialized medicine involves gate-keeper GP's who hold the keys to opening the doors to Canadians actually getting health care. Unfortunately over 10% of Canadians cannot get access to GP's, whose practices are over-filled and closed to new patients so therefore and thusly though Canadians are sold a product called "universal" health care at great cost, 10% of them continue to be on the outside looking in, much like our 10% of Americans who are uninsured. Like Eziekel Emanuel [ Rahm's brother and a key consultant to Obumski] once said - and I paraphrase - "just because people are promised universal access to health care coverage, it doesn't mean individuals will actually be able to get all the health care they need all the time."

I understand where you are coming from and would ask you consider this. This government now, thanks to Bush, has all the tools and powers it needs to crush any and all..ORGANIZED DISSENT... That is what you speak of. There is one vital tool available to the masses that can never be taken away, nor compromised in any way, that is dissent and action by the few by the individual. Every person in Washington, has now come to that realization, they know fear and there is nothing to be done about it, not a thing. You and I have done nothing but bitch or complain, but others have made their anger known, and there will be more, and the fear in Washington will escalate.
Nobody but the crafters of the POS have any idea how it will impact our freedom. Given their track record, and Obama's politics, it won't be good. It pisses me off too. I had my last straw long ago. I'm cynical because, for the most part, people are very apathetic. Around here, we know the score, but the average American needs to be hit up side the head with a clue by four. : ) The the dupes in DC get away with taxing, spending, borrowing, complete incompetence and I used to think that there would FINALLY be a breaking point, but alas, I no longer view it as something that will come to pass without a major economic collapse. Cyni, the last time there was real protest in large numbers was over Vietnam. And the jack boot thugs shot students at colleges. The voices screamed and wailed, but the empire marched on and on and on. We the people paid dearly with the loss of the Gold Standard and the Brenton Woods replacement. And since then, all the corruption, back room deals, massive corpritacracy, crapping on the Constitution have all gotten WORSE. Because We the People are apathetic, the dupes in DC don't even listen to us. I disagree about "fear" of the people. This healthcare reform farce clearly demonstrated NO FEAR of the people. Anger be damned. I've done more than bitch, Cyni, but I'm feeling worn out from lack of tangible results, left feeling my efforts have been futile. I think that as long as people continue to line up in the Red or Blue camps, we'll keep getting the shaft. The thing is we have no idea what spark will cause the fire. Sure there have been lots before this, but I can't recall bricks through windows before. We have, IMO, entered a period of time where there are no tomorrows. We have no leadership, and in this case, that's good. Let these events grow/ Let us rally in the Washington Mall bu the hundreds of thousands and don't listen to the clods who suggest violence isn't the answer. Violence is the only answer.

The times have changed. Colleges are gun free zones and college kids don't give a crap about this fight. Well, none of its free, as I am unaware that OB is going to declare martial law for the medical community, but I am with you on the massively excessively military spending which has created a political monument that few politicans can say no to. The $$ to Israel is a travesty in so many ways. A lot of that money is fungiable and gets straight into the US political system. A horrendous corruption of political integrity.

The thing is we have no idea what spark will cause the fire. Sure there have been lots before this, but I can't recall bricks through windows before. We have, IMO, entered a period of time where there are no tomorrows. We have no leadership, and in this case, that's good. Let these events grow/ Let us rally in the Washington Mall bu the hundreds of thousands and don't listen to the clods who suggest violence isn't the answer. Violence is the only answer.
