I shun ethnic nationalism for the fact that it is divisive.

We are all products of our environment, so I understand...however...please let me leave you with four words of free advice; Get used to it. It will be coming to you fast and heavy thanks to the radicals that occupy the WH. One doesn't hide his background, associate with Marshall Davis and the Weather Underground to foster peace. The division I saw years ago in Brooklyn will soon be delivered to your lap free of charge.

Fredrick Douglass

Thomas Sowell

Bill Cosby

Oprah! - for her Midas touch.

Jackie Robinson

Cassius Clay

And all the previously mentioned.

Good list. I left out Frederic Douglas - The Lion of Baltimore - only because I limited myself to the living. I would also add Booker T. Washington who championed the true escape route for Black Americans - Education and pride in actual accomplishment. And I wish I could remember his name, my embarrassment, but there was another Ball Player who in his prime was better than Jackie, but he did not get called up to the Majors until a year after Jackie and he was past his prime years. Ooh! I almost forgot Arthur Ashe - the first Black to win Wimbledon and a Real Gentleman.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"You've got to put right and wrong above legal and illegal. Because when tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty; and it is not rebellion at all, it is submission to the higher law that our government is in rebellion to. We're not the rebels, they're the rebels."

Malcolm was also a very vocal and public critic of Zionism, probably the only public voice calling it what it is.

He has sided with the NeoCons too often and supports the execrable, and endless, wars of conquest

i thought that was true of Thomas Sowell. i've not heard Walter Williams on that. my favorite WW quote is the one when he said, regarding gun control and gov tyranny, that he wanted whatever the government has to use against us.

Malcolm X was one of the greatest American leaders of the past 100 years

So sorry to have upset you...

Having lived thru the era, there are at least two Malcolm's that I know of.

Malcolm #1 called people like me a blue eyed devil

Malcolm #2, didn't live long enough to be considered "one of the greatest American leaders of the past 100 years", IMO.

I don't know the Miami guy, but yes the Rev. Manning is a good man - he, unlike too many others, recognizes Oh'bummer as a set back for Black America because in time he will be seen for the criminal he is. In fact, given the collapse of his poll numbers, many people are beginning to wake up to that fact. He is/was a Judas Goat.

there was a time when you were a respecter of content of character and shared values, i thought. have you changed your opinion?

Know what I think is funny, Christine? I mean funny as in "Ha Ha", not funny as in "odd".

Jews are fair game here. OK.

Niggers are a protected species. OK.

Who is responsible for white flight?

If jews move in next door, does that mean the neighborhood is shot all to hell?

When niggers move in next door, does that concern you? Everything the niggers touch turns to shit. They have the Anti-Midas touch.

Niggers have no character or shared values to respect. They destroy cities one neighborhood at a time. I think it's hilarious how people tell me how bad I am, but totally ignore what they know is true. I have no problem throwing all this in their faces and I will continue to do so. Either that, or let's see the holier-than-thou attack the anti-"semites" here with equal gusto.

Hmmm? Yes, let's see that happen. Should I hold my breath waiting for that? I better not...

But I care so much about what they think of me that my face almost, but not quite, changed expressions.

You're also the reason that there should be a literacy and IQ test requirement to be online.

I disagree. It's good to let the vermin come out into the sunlight. It is there we can best see their seemingly unlimited supply of dishonor, idiocy, ignorance, etc.

Just as people are afraid of the unknown, the mysterious and taboo often have a certain pull for particular types of people.

Once one reveals oneself as an ignorant idiot with homicidal tendencies but without the courage to act on them- that goes further than anything else to discourage others from joining that mindset.

Louis Armstrong - a soul of great depth, and like Johnny Cash, had the gift of being able to share that expansive love with all. I still border on goosepumps listening to his recordings. No one did "Mack the Knife" better and his rendition of "It's a Wonderful World" tears your heart out.

And among musicians I would also list Ray Brown, Duke Ellington, and The Count. There were of course other greats but the Duke and The Count stand at the top.

And as far as Boxers go I'll take George Foreman - the reluctant Champ who took up boxing to escape poverty. Then of course would be the Right Reverend Roosevelt Grier - who used to knit on the sidelines. ;-)

This is what Malcolm was saying towards the end of his life:

"In the past, yes, I have made sweeping indictments of all white people. I will never be guilty of that again — as I know now that some white people are truly sincere, that some truly are capable of being brotherly toward a black man. The true Islam has shown me that a blanket indictment of all white people is as wrong as when whites make blanket indictments against blacks. "

That's because you can't respect yourself.

Anyone with that much hate is consumed by it and ruled by it. While I despise it I can only pity someone so afflicted. Certainly there is no iota of respect for it. And anyone with that much hate would have to be leading a miserable life in which it spills over and colors all that is in his life. Sad really.

This is what Malcolm was saying towards the end of his life:

His autobiography is fascinating. One would have to respect his conviction and discipline after reading his life story. He stood up and took responsibility for his actions, never backed away from what he had said or done, but rather faced it head on, opting to share his learning experience rather than save face.

This thread is a joke and nothing more than an exercise in white guilt. Considering that there are about 50,000,000 nogs in this country, posters have strained to come up with 10 names and more than half of them are suspect.

As someone who grew up with them, worked with them, lived in Africa I say they are a worthless race that has done our country far more harm than good. I will submit one name, J.J. Johnson but overall we would be better off without him too.

Face it people, nogs, destroy every city they live in, they vote for every leftist on the ballot, they are as a rule brutish and stoopid.

But go ahead, praise they very very few who are good. You wouldn't want anyone to call you a "rasist" would you?
