These are excerpts from the Texas Declaration of Independence. They may seem oddly familiar to us today. “When a government has ceased to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people, from whom its legitimate powers are derived, and for the advancement of whose happiness it was instituted, and so far from being a guarantee for the enjoyment of those inestimable and inalienable rights, becomes an instrument in the hands of evil rulers for their oppression.” “When the Federal Republican Constitution of their country, which they have sworn to support, no longer has a substantial existence, and the whole nature of their government has been forcibly changed, without their consent, from a restricted federative republic, composed of sovereign states, to a consolidated central military despotism…” “When, long after the spirit of the constitution has departed, moderation is at length so far lost by those in power, that even the semblance of freedom is removed, and the forms themselves of the constitution discontinued, and so far from their petitions and remonstrances being regarded, the agents who bear them are thrown into dungeons, and mercenary armies sent forth to force a new government upon them at the point of the bayonet.” “When, in consequence of such acts of malfeasance and abdication on the part of the government, anarchy prevails, and civil society is dissolved into its original elements. The US population was only about 4M people during the revolution (circa 1775); there were no dependencies of the population base on the English crown and as the crown demanded more and more tax dollars beyond other local atrocities the revolution eventually broke out. Today, the US population is about 320M with many and varied dependencies on the US government. Those same dependencies guarantee a way of life; indeed, over 25M government workers are employed at various levels of government. And millions receive social security, indirect civilian jobs for government/industry and commercial, Medicare/Medicaid, food stamps, unemployment, college grants and hundreds, if not thousands of other entitlements. In today's world, the US government have the People by the balls; there shall be no revolution. All you shall see are a few wackos from time to time in the media as the government wants you to know something.
Your point is well taken. I read recently that if you add the numbers of government employees to the numbers receiving government entitlements, it's close to 47% of the US population. Ergo, the % of Americans, who are not dependent on government hand outs, represents only a teeny tiny majority.

And you make a good counter point to buckeroo's observation about Americans becoming too dependent on gov't. Those Americans who are dependent on gov't "largess" in one form or another might wake up out of their complacent somnolence if they see that their benefits are being threatened due to government over spending/over reach. There was an article today in the WSJ about a poll showing that the majority of Americans refuse to accept the writing on the wall regarding Social Security's and Medicare's fiscal insolubility and that they do not want any budget cuts in either program.
ROTFL .... I suppose I deserve that remarck but we have to look the facts squarely in the face in order to have realistic hopes substantiated on truth as opposed to some majick faerie dust that happened to fall from the skies by someone's look-up thesis based upon centuries old data. There is only one way a revolution could appear in contemporary America and that is through complete economic collapse which would undeniably destroy the government's re-distribution efforts of entitlements. And that fantastick consideration is improbable at best.
gonna be a problem when the boomers start retiring by the millions... supposedly there's nearly 80 million of them. if they had decent people to vote for, boomers could make a political difference, but it's likely anti-zionist candidates would be screened out of the running before they got any higher in the system than dogcatcher.

you sure there's 40 million illegals in the states? ...wikipedia, for what it's worth, says there's "seven to 20 million" and some of them are paying taxes, but are using phony SS ID numbers, and they wont collect benefits. anyhow, it's a problem... do you legalize them so they can pay for the boomers' social security, or do you throw them out, and piss off the people who need cheap labor? the way things are going, it's pretty plain that the big shakers and movers are perfectly content with cheap illegal labor, and that's about all they care about.

Israel shall always get their "cut"; they live in a geographical area containing strong enmity towards them; plus they influence Congress with piles of cash contribution donations. It is amazing to me that in American politics/government that literal perpetual motion machines are created; American government through line item legislation donates BILLIONS of dollars to Israel and Israel (AIPAC) sends hundreds of MILLIONS back for campaign contributions thus ensuring the next increase in federal budget spending in Israel. As a People, we are duped by everyone and Israel laffs all the way to the bank.
the only peaceful solution is education. maybe, once the boomers retire (assuming the government doesnt boost retirement age to 95), they might have time to educate themselves and do something about israel. not likely, i admit, but they got the numbers. too bad they've been mass produced by zionist media, which makes educating them even more unlikely.
That damnable figure hasn't changed in 20 years. All the goddamned talking heads on the Jewtube are always quoting "10 to 12 million" and have been for years. Nobody wants to admit the obvious when whole cities are basically "mexicanized", they'd rather put on a smile and talk about "urban renewal with a distinct cultural flair!" or "meet the new look that's sweeping the neighborhood" and guilt the white mayor into swallowing his dignity and having to acknowledge "a sea change in demographics".
