HA HA: Pope Never Got the Memo on Child Sex Abuse

by UK TELEGRAPH

(March 26, 2010) The Vatican has defended the Pope over charges that he failed to act against a priest accused of abusing 200 deaf boys The Vatican has defended the Pope over charges that he failed to act against allegations of sex abuse.

A Vatican newspaper editorial said the claims were an "ignoble" attack on the Pope and that there was no "cover-up", the BBC reports.

Archbishops had complained about Fr Lawrence Murphy in the 1990s to a Vatican office led by the future pope, but apparently received no response.

But the Pope's spokesman defended him, saying the Vatican department which the future pontiff was in charge of had not been informed of these latest allegations until 1996 - 20 years after the priest's victims first informed the police.

Arthur Budzinski is one of Father Murphy's alleged victims. He said that the first time the priest molested him, he was 12 years old, alone and away from home at a school for the deaf. He said he asked the Rev. Lawrence Murphy to hear his confession, and instead the priest took him into a closet under the stairs and sexually assaulted him.

Father Murphy was also accused of molesting boys in the confessional, in dormitories, in closets and during field trips while working at theschool for the deaf from the 1950s through 1974. He died in 1998 at age 72.

Allegations against Father Murphy resurfaced this week after documents obtained by The New York Times apparently showed that he was spared a defrocking in the mid-1990s because he was protected by the Vatican office led by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now the Pope.

The Vatican strongly defended its decision not to defrock Father Murphy and denounced what it called a campaign to smear the Pope and his aides.

Something to keep in mind here. The FedGov and other world governments have a very vested interest in destroying Christianity. If you can relate how they create lies out of whole cloth about secular targets (you, me, others in the liberty movement), how they can produce trains of fake victims and sob stories out of thin air, and things like that, then you may have an idea of what they're doing to the Catholics.

If you want to chastise Catholics for their particular brand of Christianity, that's fine. But ultimately many of them are on the same side as we are, and are essentially facing Satan head on.

Have some priests abused kids? No question. Is it everywhere in the entire Catholic faith? Are you kidding me? Are "Christian Militias Planning To Kill Cops At Funerals" representative of you, or me, or others here? Hardly.

The amount of gunning that the governments are doing at the Catholics ought to clue you in on just how much we are alike in their eyes.

Well that settles it. Nothing to see here, move along people. It's just "ignoble", so all is well.

These "popes" haven't changed much over the years, have they. They were scum from the beginning, he is scum now, and they will always be scum.

If you want to be a criminal, then be a cop. If you want to rape little kids, be a priest. The bosses will protect you.

The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"You've got to put right and wrong above legal and illegal. Because when tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty; and it is not rebellion at all, it is submission to the higher law that our government is in rebellion to. We're not the rebels, they're the rebels."

Keeping all biases aside, there is an attack on Christianity by the elite. This isn't to condone the CC, they are low on my list of favorite rankings of favorite religions. But the larger point is the elite will soon be burning books and among them all versions of the bible.

I really wish more people could see this. It is true that Vatican II essentially gutted the Catholic church, and it is true that there are gay leaders/priests and pedophiles in the clergy there, that is also true of ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION ON EARTH. You could do this same kind of thing (easily) if you went after the DNC, or RNC or your local Rotary Club. Truth is that Catholics, like all Christians, abhor pedophilia and sexual abuse. To the very core, just like the rest of us.

It's funny how the critical eye towards government persecution always ceases to be critical when somebody's favorite target is suddenly in the government sites. It's "no no no, they're all liars" when the government is gunning for us, but if they turn around and use the same tactics, smear, lies and trickery against Catholics, well then, that's just hippy dippy cool.

We have to stop having tunnel vision. The government is out to fully control us all, period, full stop. If we allow Divide & Conquer to work, that is exactly what they'll get, full control.

To those Catholics who remember the early 60s, once Vatican II was ushered in all vestiges of Fr. Coughlin where shuffled out the back door. Putting aside the brutality of Catholic school that I felt, the lessons that were taught was the communism was an evil and Hollywood producers had an agenda See the Legion of Decency”

Keeping all biases aside, there is an attack on Christianity by the elite.

Why would they do that?

They enable the "elite". They couldn't do what they do without the so-called churches help.

I don't see any such attack. They are allies. Or, maybe a better term would be parasites that feed off of each other. It's been that way for centuries.

Just off the top of my head they enjoy abortion at any stage, figures of John and Joe on the top of wedding cakes, transgendered freaks, and of course people who are completely non judgemental when they watch the Dykes on Bikes parade in San Francisco.

True.

But the churches support the war and torture. pewforum.org/Religion-New...fazed-by-torture-Why.aspx

Which is worse? Your "figures of John and Joe on the top of wedding cakes, transgendered freaks, and of course people who are completely non judgemental when they watch the Dykes on Bikes parade in San Francisco. " or CENTURIES of supporting or directly engaging in war and torture?

I think it's enough that I am not homosexual. I wont judge those that are. Just so they leave me alone. Just so that their conduct does not harm anyone else. I personally think that the reason "christians" go after homosexuals is that 1) they can't even identify with them and attacking them is like shooting fish in a barrel, or 2) they are homosexuals themselves, or 3) they have other sins they are covering up. You'd think homosexuality was the only sin out there, the way they go after them.

You can't force others to live by your values. You can only warn them of the consequences. I think they already know the consequences. If the thought of dying of AIDS doesn't stop them, what makes someone think that anything else will stop them?

But the churches support of this war and the torture that goes on does do harm to others. Onward "christian" Soldiers, marching as to war...

Have you seen the video telling how FEMA will use Romans 13 and their "clergy response teams"? I can dig it up if you haven't. Again, the PTB couldn't do it without the so-called churches.

Who's trying to force values onto people? I'm not talking about pushy missionaries. These are the values I grew up with in America circa late 50s early 60s. I think I have you by a few years, but our unique culture has been turned on it's head since that period time. In terms of religion, I support anyone believing whatever they want (or not to believe at all), but humanists nevertheless have Christians under attack. Whether it's Branch Davidians, or whatever this militia was named, they have a right in this nation to be left alone based on their beliefs.

you simply do not understand or have any wisdom on the subject.

Uh huh.

NO one knows everything. Wisdom is in knowing that. Those that fake it refuse to admit they dont know something. That is not wise.

Understanding is knowing when one is on safe ground or not. I understand more than you think.

Who's trying to force values onto people?

It sounded like you were, by bringing up homosexuals.

I was born in 64, and this country has changed a lot from when I was a kid. It's unrecognizable. It's even more unrecognizable to my parents. It would be extremely unrecognizable to my grandparents if they were still alive.

WHo is responsible? IMO it's the people that have decided to let others make their decisions for them. Give up power and someone will come along and take it. The .gov and churchianity have taken over that power that others gave up.

I don't have a dog in the fight between the "church" and the humanists. Neither one is worth fighting for IMO.

It sounded like you were, by bringing up homosexuals.

I was referring to the overt sideshow freaks who parade about on floats and masturbate in front of St Patrick's Cathedral in NYC. I could go get a few 'tubes to show you an example, but they wouldn't do it justice. Those people were belched from hell and hate almost everything normal (apologies for being judgemental :))

Yes, I know. It would be pornographic. I didn't say that I think what they do is right. I am saying that I think it's enough that I dont do it. I have enough on my plate, believe it! Something about having a splinter in their eye, and a beam in my own...

If they hate everything normal, then they will pay the price. No one gets a pass. It's not hard to see the consequences of their conduct.

Not really.

I was smiling when I wrote that ;)

I just see no point in getting too deep in an argument that I know will never go anywhere.

I don't care about anyones flames. If that is all they do, on bozo they go.

If I say it, I'll back it up or admit it when I am wrong. Not too many people here will do that. They usually pick and choose what points to respond to, or ignore the entire topic.

"I'm not making any firm conclusions, but what I'm saying is that there is a lot of circumstantial evidence to say that he was Jewish.

If you are born into a jewish family, imo that means exactly nothing. It's no different than being born into a christian or muslim family. If he didn't have the same beliefs of his parents, then imo he wasn't a jew.
