This is a perfect example of the dishonesty that rules Party politics. Big Headline at Drudge reads "Romney wins straw poll" ... no mention of Ron Paul with the same percentage of votes but 1 vote short of Romney's 439 (Paul had 438). The article is silent about Paul even though over time Romney has spent 100 times more money than Paul getting his name and agenda recognized. This is typical of the Party politics that has ruined America. Can we agree to call bullshit, yet ?

RP is mostly ignored withing the ranks of the GOP and will never go further than where he is. His steadfast devotion to the "Party" is why there is no way in hell I'm going to become excited about these straw polls.

Ignored or deplored, Ron paul does himself a disservice associating with the Republican Party scum ... you're right.

Which makes me wonder why he does it.

People are supporting him personally, not the party. What proves that to me is that he does well in these polls, sometimes beating up the establishment candidates, even though he is officially ignored for the most part.

He could go 3rd party and still win.
