Southern Poverty Law (Lie) Center: This group should be charged under the hate crimes act for intitiating the targeting and public degradation of the patriot movement. Whatever the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) started out to be, (and research shows this was questionable) it is now intolerable, defined by its intolerance of anyone or any group who doesnt adhere to its ever changing blacklists comprised of who we hate today. I will reiterate what I have said before; SPLC is the new McCarthyism. SPLC is the ADL/South; the Anti-defamation league only slightly more virulent in its targeting and maligning of any who dare to oppose it. The Southern Poverty Law Center has made a profitable business out of selling hate, propaganda and intolerance. We should call this group by its proper name The Southern Poverty Lie Center. Doing a little investigative research it appears there are big bunches of cash to be made peddling hate and SPLC is a pro at raising cash; in fact the business of selling imagined and selective hate data has become so profitable that SPLC might stand a chance of losing its 501c3 tax exemption. Quote: "In fact, unknown to most CFC donors, the tax-exempt SPLC flunked an audit by the Arlington-based Better Business Bureaus Wise Giving Alliance, which requires that a reasonable percentage, at least 50 percent of total income from all sources, should be applied to programs and activities directly related to the purposes for which the organization exists.
SPLC
spent 89 percent of its total income on fund-raising and administrative costs
" SPLC has become adept at convincing government officials and law enforcement that patriot groups who advocate for the constitution and civil liberties are on the verge of rising up and committing violence; patriots=militias, according to SPLC. Issuing contrived reports that have no reliable basis in truth, SPLC claims those who are conservative, and people like me who have always been Democrat, or any citizen who dares to speak out about the egregious policies and massive expansion of federal government, must, by SPLC standards, be militia groups. And those gun rights advocates? (Count me in here again) Those are the people we really need to be afraid of! Never mind there are more than 290 million legally owned guns in the US, if you have one and you support the right to have one
you are probably some racist, hate-mongering, anti-government, right-wing radical, left-wing socialist, guns and god, Obama-hating, Bush bashing, commie. Did I miss anyone? Those of us on both the left and the right who believe our borders should be secured and illegal immigration not only halted and our laws enforced are now on SPLC lists as racists. Its just not possible that we see the colonization of the US by those who have chosen to break our laws and avail themselves of whatever benefits are possible as somehow disadvantageous to the country considering the dire economic straights we are in as harmful to the ongoing viability of the country. Nope! We are racists. So are those at SPLC who seem to hate anything or anyone (especially white people) who want to see a return of stability and law to our nation. Except for a few notable and well recognized exceptions, SPLCs hate list is comprised of national organizations and groups which have never engaged in, advocated for or promoted any kind of violence against the government or anyone else for that matter. But, as with most cult-like operations an enemy must be identified and targeted; otherwise, who can you frighten into sending you their money? Far from being the self proclaimed moral compasses they claim to be, SPLC is a purveyor of distortions, fabrications, and outright smear campaigns against the patriot community. Their hysterical and deceptive pleas for more donations seem somehow to be at odds with their Statement of Activites for the year ending October 31, 2008 wherein they showed a net of $156,180,777. I would be really curious to know why SPLC hasnt listed itself as a hate group? It meets the criteria they use to describe others as hate groups and none of those that they have sited as being dangerous, radical or extremists, dont sit around compiling maps of the country where they claim those not radical, dangerous or extremist, seem to exist. SPLCs stock and trade is promoting hate, suspicion, fear, paranoia and serves to divide the public by promoting themselves as the guardians of America; fighting free thinking, personal opinions and the right of the American people to dissent when government has exceeded its boundaries. God forbid that should be allowed to continue; someone might realize SPLC is antithetical to a free society and decide to stop donating to this group of scam artists and con men/women. In recent weeks, David Potok, (I assume the talking head of SPLC), has been given the opportunity to appear on national television on shows such as Keith Olberman, and most recently (to my knowledge), on CSPAN. If I had not been so fascinated by this mans obtuseness, or his claims to know that what the callers were saying wasnt so
he had no evidence other than he said it wasnt so
.I would probably have recorded the program just to make sure I heard what I thought I heard; which was a self-righteous and self proclaimed purveyor of intolerance and hate disguised as some kind of moral oracle. According to the SPLC they teach tolerance to promote and respect differences and appreciation of diversity. Apparently that only applies to those SPLC isnt using to raise funds, and that sector is dwindling with each and every day. SPLC does not tolerate patriot movements or those willing to stand up and defend SPLCs right to speak their propaganda, even when they disagree with it. These people detest anyone who isnt them and if you hold a view differing from what they have determined to be politically correct and a threat to their cash flow, you could land on their hate map. Viewing the SPLC hate map, its obvious that there is a concerted attempt to convince the public that patriot groups are somehow the same as Nazis, skinheads, militias and other more radical small collections of individuals that somehow frighten the SPLC to an extreme. What I find more frightening is that SPLC spends its time compiling blacklists. Who in their right mind would waste their time doing that? Oh! Yeah! Joe McCarthy did. And so did the neo-cons when Bush2 reigned supreme and we have at least 18 spy agencies which spend their time compiling blacklists, hate lists, no-fly lists, suspicious persons lists; and lists about the lists that have been compiled on the lists of people we need to be suspicious of because they are on a list, list. The Southern Poverty Lie Center should be right at home with these folks!
