Clinton: Blaming the Non-Violent Right for Violence

Written by Thomas R. Eddlem
Monday, 19 April 2010 17:00

Former President Bill Clinton has gone on a blame tour against Obama's critics in the last couple of days, stigmatizing critics of big government for crimes of violence committed by others.

Clinton wrote for the Sunday April 18 New York Times that “there is a big difference between criticizing a policy or a politician and demonizing the government that guarantees our freedoms and the public servants who enforce our laws.... As we exercise the right to advocate our views, and as we animate our supporters, we must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged.” (Emphasis in original.)

In other words, people who don't advocate violence should be blamed for violence committed by others if they animate supporters to nonviolent action against the unconstitutional excesses of a lawless big government. Clinton told ABC's This Week Sunday that “they create a climate in which people who are vulnerable to violence — because they are disoriented, like Timothy McVeigh was — are more likely to act.”

Perhaps the real questions that Clinton ought to be asking are: Does opposition to lawlessness by government officials provoke lawless violence, or do the lawless acts of government officials provoke the violence? Were the Oklahoma City bombers provoked by the the lawless violence of the Clinton administration at Waco and Ruby Ridge? Why is it that lawless violence always seems to spread when the government itself is getting bigger on unconstitutional programs and failing to follow the legal limits of the U.S. Constitution?

“We shouldn't demonize the government or its public employees or its elected officials,” Clinton wrote for the New York Times. “We can disagree with them. We can harshly criticize them. But when we turn them into an object of demonization, you know, you — you increase the number of threats.” Clinton makes his view clear in this statement that the real, unspoken threat from “demonizing government" (whatever that means) is increased distrust of government. And a distrusted government is much more difficult to make bigger. That's his chief worry. His article is also both a subtle call for censorship of anyone criticizing government and key indicator of the intolerance of many (though not all) who support big government for political dissent.

Clinton also wrote of the Oklahoma City bombers: “They took to the ultimate extreme an idea advocated in the months and years before the bombing by an increasingly vocal minority: the belief that the greatest threat to American freedom is our government, and that public servants do not protect our freedoms, but abuse them.”

That government officials are abusing Americans' freedoms is obvious to anyone who has been paying attention, from unconstitutional NSA snooping to Abu Graib and Guantanamo to new federal individual health care mandates. And what Clinton calls a “vocal minority” has long been the majority of Americans. According to a Pew Research Center poll released April 18, Americans have “epic discontent with Congress and elected officials.” About four-fifths of Americans distrust their government. “Just 22% say they can trust the government in Washington almost always or most of the time, among the lowest measures in half a century,” the Pew poll reported. “Over this period, a larger minority of the public also has come to view the federal government as a major threat to their personal freedom – 30% feel this way, up from 18% in a 2003 ABC News/Washington Post survey.”

Clinton also wrote that “Americans have more freedom and broader rights than citizens of almost any other nation in the world, including the capacity to criticize their government and their elected officials.” Note that Clinton acknowledges America is not the freest nation in the world; it just has “almost” as much freedom as any other nation. Sadly, that was the one part of his article where he was correct. It wasn't always so. But if patriots can ignore Clinton's subtle intimidation tactics and work toward a federal government restrained by the U.S. Constitution, America may once again be the freest nation on earth.

uhhhh..thought crime association?

"Anarchy is any social relationship that involves neither dominance nor submission. It is the absence of social hierarchy, with no one imposing their will on another by force or threat of punishment. Anarchy means "without a ruler", or "without government". Government here is meant in the sense of "governing over" and forcing compliance through coercion. Such order is violent order. Anarchy, by contrast, is inherently cooperative- people relating to one another as equals."

It sounds like the freedom-munchers are worried the penal colony is waking up. Therefore, it is okay for the government to demonize the people.

Domestic terrorists as big a threat as al-Qaeda, says FBI head Robert Mueller

Fifteen years after the Oklahoma City bombing, the spectre of domestic terrorism has returned to haunt the Obama Administration, with a warning from the FBI that “home-grown and lone-wolf extremists” now represent as serious a threat as al-Qaeda and its affiliates.

The warning, from the FBI Director, Robert Mueller, came as the former President Clinton drew parallels between the Oklahoma City tragedy and a recent upsurge in anti-government rhetoric, while American television audiences heard Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, describe the “absolute rage” that drove him to plan an attack that killed 168 men, women and children.

An FBI spokesman told The Times yesterday that Mr Mueller was referring to right-wing extremist groups [ATKH note: as defined and demonized by the Anti-American, Anti-Christian, Israel-first, ADL http://www.adl.org/learn/ext_us/ ] and anti-government militias, as well as American Islamists, in his testimony to the Senate committee that must approve the FBI’s $8.3 billion (£5.4 billion) budget.......

The Goldman Sachs Box Dance, and What is a Domestic Terrorist

by Tom Heneghan

Saturday April 17, 2010

http://nesaranews.blogspot.com/2...ox-dance-and-what-is.html

[excerpt re: Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center (which has nothing to do with poverty, and everything to do with Zionism): "...Morris Dees, a known Zionist, contracted out by the CIA to allegedly identify radical right wing extremists on U.S. soil, was actually more interested in harassing Iran-Contra whistleblowers, like my colleague Stew Webb, and then classifying them as domestic terrorists.

Dees, also a known sexual deviate, whose ex-wife testified in his divorce trial that Dees had various homosexual affairs and actually molested their step-daughter.

Dees, has been working directly with former President Bill Clinton to trumpet this propaganda about this threat from domestic terrorists.

Could it be that Bill Clinton is going public with this propaganda given the fact that he and his loser wife, dysfunctional Secretary of State Hillary Rodenhurst Clinton, and former Citibank CEO Robert Rubin, also face criminal indictment for using the offshore Citibank hedge fund to launder STOLEN U.S. Treasury funds.

Bill and Hillary Clinton and their MSNBC stooge Rachel Maddow need to distract the attention of the American People from these criminal Bush-Clinton Crime Family Syndicate banks like Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan that have helped LOOT the U.S. Treasury.

The former President is once again using the Oklahoma City card as a way to attack alleged domestic terrorists aka the American People.

Remember, folks, Oklahoma City Murrah Federal Building bombing was like 9/11, a U.S. government inside job, both were scripted by rogue U.S. intelligence in the Philippines in the early 1990s. This was known as "Project Bojinka"...."

Are You Free Or Just 'Freer'?

by: C. Ellen Shaffer

The Patriot Review

When I was a child, Americans were proud because they were FREE. Now I find most Americans proclaiming they are 'freer.' When I attempt to point out how Americans are being enslaved, most of them will say, "It may be bad, but we're freer than any people anywhere else on earth." Personally, I would differ with that analysis, but this is not the question before us today. Today I am asking why Americans no longer take pride in being FREE? Is it because all the slaves know they are not free, so they can only proclaim themselves to be 'freer'?

If a man or group of men can force me to act against my will and against my conscience, then I am a slave. If my liberties are controlled, regulated and sold to me, then they are no longer liberties, but privileges. If one person or many can command specific performance from me without paying me for my performance, I am a slave!

Now, it may be true that someone else has a harsher master than I, who demands more performance or imposes more regulation, but it matters not what degree of slavery I suffer if I am a slave. After all, my master can become harsher or change the rules any time he wishes. If he has power over me he can impose his will in any manner he chooses. My status as a slave does not depend on the kind of master I have. My status of slave arises out of my belief that I am under the absolute power of another.

Today, most Americans would run out and buy a walking license if some "government agent" demanded it. If their masters demanded they purchase a permit to mow their lawn most of them would comply. This belief that they are under the absolute power of someone else makes them a slave. It matters not that the masters have not yet demanded such license or permit. What matters is the fact that the slaves would comply if ordered to do so.

There is no doubt, this slavery of the American people has been self imposed; for rape is not rape if one does not struggle. I can assure you that Americans did not struggle. They went meekly into chains while murmuring 'render unto Caesar.' It was quite a feat to turn the posterity of Freedom loving men of courage into sniveling cowards who welcome servitude over the animating contest of liberty and resposibility for themselves.

In Concentration Camps?

The posterity of Freemen now proclaim themselves to be 'freer,' and will continue to do so even when they must shout it from the confines of a concentration camp. They will be so sure that somewhere someone is more in bondage than they!

How would it be if we proclaimed ourselves 'slaver' rather than 'freer'? Is a slave any less a slave simply because his master allows him more privileges than the massah down the road allows his slaves? If we are only free to exercise and enjoy massah's privileges, then we're not free in any sense of the word.

John Stuart Mills once said: "The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good in our own way." If we are pursuing someone else's good in the way they decide is best, then this does not deserve the name of 'freedom.'

Servitude is defined as "submission to a master." Forced action rather than free will action is a mark of slavery, and it matters not that some are compelled less than others.

I think I'll lose my dinner the next time I hear some American coward happily explain how much 'freer' he is than a Russian slave. If he's willing to be 'freer' rather than FREE, he's already a slave and either too cowardly or too dumb to see the light!

I'm not satisfied with being 'freer.' For I am a child of God my Creator who has made me free by his perfect Law of Liberty. If the enjoyment of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness can have man-made conditions placed upon them, then they are not mine to enjoy.

Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end.
Lord Acton
