I will be taking the server off line on Friday for a completion of the maintenance that began 2 weeks ago. Inserting a new disk mirroring card.

The time is TBD. I'll modify this thead title when I figure that out. Most likely it will begin at 11 AM **OR** 3 PM. I expect it to take 2-3 hours.

I'm pleased to say update/upgrades are successfully completed, (unlike 2 weeks ago when things didn't go according to plan). It took closer to 5 hours, all told, but I realized earlier this week that my initial 2-3 hour projection was short, which is why I started at 2 PM instead of 3 PM. The operation was akin to trading in an old dinner table for a new one, without disturbing any of the dishes and utensils on the table, and I was even practicing for it this past week on a home system. A lot of things could have been broken, and it wouldn't have taken much of a goof to wipe out a couple days of 4um postings and generally make life miserable. As it was I only broke one or 2 things, which I think are fixed. It took a while but I don't anticipate having to do this again until the still relatively new system is completely replaced (motherboard, hard drives and all). That should be maybe 2 years or more away. There will still be occassional down time for minor items, but 4um should be pretty well set for a good long time.

I appreciate everyone's patience, and..... thanks for shopping at 4um!
