May I speak for generations of my ancestors and say that we are good and sick of having this stuff crammed down our throat for millennium after millennium .

You still misunderstand me. I have agreed with you from post #1. Did you bother to see what I was talking about before you started attacking me? This person basically said that if you are not white Europeans, you are not the children of Abraham, nor children of God, nor are you written in the Book of Life, quite the opposite of what I wrote above from the Bible you hate so much. For crying out loud, that is why I shut him off, and began preaching from the Bible the gospel. Regarding most of the rest of your rant, I think you're on the right track toward my God. Hope that doesn't scare you.

I'm not worried about my time in front of God. I've made more than my fair share of mistakes, and I've done some wonderful things on this planet. The balance is there, and I've been working on being a better human being for a long time now. It's hard to live as a decent person in a world so full of liars and traitors, and the worst part, is that those who lie and betray you the most use the bible or whatever religion they follow to justify it. I don't think that's what you're about so perhaps I've misread you and apologize if I've talked out of turn with you. Be well.

Tommy, the Bible has endured because it is the Word of God. The fact that it has been abused to wield power over the whole planet, is the fault of people, who are born in sin since the devil entered the Garden of Eden, not the fault of the Author. God is holy and God is love. That is why he took on flesh and died on the cross for us. The punishment for sin is death. Being too holy to abide by sin, he took our punishment upon Himself, that if we simply believed that He did this for us, our faith would be imputed to righteousness, and we would be called children of God and given eternal life. Of course, then we had to walk in His path, and begin to live a life of righteousness that was set out on the Sermon on the Mount [Matthew 5-7].
There are some indications that this all started out in the heavens, when Lucifer rebelled against God and took a third of the angels with him. Some believe we are fallen angels and this is our testing ground, to see if we would follow Lucifer again, or God, the rationale being, if God just destroyed these angels, the other angels would have followed Him out of fear and not love. Perhaps that is the deeper reason that whenever someone is saved, the angels rejoice.
I don't live a perfect life either, and it is hard to "live as a decent person in a world so full of liars and traitors," as you say. I have a very hard time obeying the commandments to love them and pray for them. I will have to answer for that. There's a lot going on in the world that fulfills what is predicted in the Bible [and I am not referring to any false prophecies by deChristianized Zionists, which prophecies they have the power to counterfeit in order to deceive the masses.] These PTB are fulfilling the Bible in ways I am sure they would not like to be known....but too late. The Bible says before the Lord comes, the hidden things of darkness would be revealed, and these people are becoming an open book for the whole world to see, which tells me there is going to be an end to all this horror before long. From this last post of yours, I'd say that few people that post on this forum or similar boards write as lucidly regarding their religion as you do.
I won't say that I never read the Bible verses that you quote. However, there are often so many of them on such disparate topics, one despairs of understanding the purpose of posting them in the first place.
We'd like to see more of the poster there, because if there is anyone capable of putting the voluminous verses that he posts into context, it's you.
