May I speak for generations of my ancestors and say that we are good and sick of having this stuff crammed down our throat for millennium after millennium .
Now that the doctrine and mythography are out of the hands of the state, every crackpot is free to propagate every conceivable tortured genealogy and half-baked etymological flight of fancy in pursuit of an apology for whatever brand of preaching an individual takes it into his head to burden an audience with.
If you want to do some good, do a little simple preaching out of the Gospels. There's actually some quite good stuff there, and leave the massive O.T. spamming to some other forum where folks give a shit about that kind of stuff.
