Got that right. No one here is under any militia-type illusions - at least the way I read posters. Nobody is arming to fight the government. They are just holding on to their weapons, because those have to be taken away first before active tyranny can begin. Besides, guns are tons of fun.

My first reaction is logical, pragmatic and well-reasoned. And, like I said, I was well armed before this current economic debacle--so who is it you are referring to running out on this "first reaction" to arm up? Yeah, you are probably right, not too many posters pay attention to what you are saying.......proving the laws of the universe are in perfect working order. You get what you give. It seems you don't even read my posts as you continue to harp about "first reaction" and arming to the gills. Say, just how much arming must one do to qualify for this "to the gills" catagory? Besides, it's like randge said.........guns are tons of fun.

The answer is that he (or she, whatever) is a dumb ef and a troublemaker. I am sure that folks like that is why the kill filter--called a clown filter by a lot of people--was invented. if people carry guns, they should be aware of the purpose of guns, and the consequences. it looks to me like you people dont have the foggiest idea what guns are about, and are being manipulated into a mindset that doesnt do much more than pump up the sales of arms manufacturers. you've watched so much TV that you think guns are the answer, and they never are the answer. the only thing guns do is replace one megalomaniac with another.

I've had guns around my whole life for hunting, for protection, for target shooting, for black powder get togethers, for Johnny Appleseed, for collection, for exhibition, for practical ranching situations. Many purposes for firearms....oh, but only you in your infinite wisdom could possibly know the consequences. When I pull my gun for protection, I know the consequences and I'm fully prepared to deal with them. It looks to me like you are simply posting to argue.....again. What a waste of time. I don't watch tv. From personal experience, guns are the answer to many problems I love it when anti gunners get eaten by grizzlies because they have stupid ideas like "the only thing guns do is replace one megalomaniac with another"......or when a horse is suffering the slow death with a twisted gut and sappy ass liberals sit around and lament the slow long death, gnashing their teeth, whining, pissing, moaning. i didnt say guns dont have their uses. i'm saying that most of you people have never watched the death of a creature you've shot. i'm saying that, when it comes to protecting a dying system, no amount of guns will help. i'm saying that protecting your stuff by killing people is pathetic and dumb. i'm saying if you were told the truth about your situation, you would cooperate instead of preparing to kill each other. pathetic and comical, that's what you are.
