you gotta wonder about... well, first of all, you gotta wonder about this: how representative of humanity are the posters at freedom4um... if freedom4um people are fairly representative of humanity in general, you gotta wonder, if freedom4um people's first reaction to a crisis is to buy guns and ammo... it's pathetic and comical, at the same time... sort of like an old jack ie gleason movie... or maybe a natalie portman movie
First, freedum4um people already had plenty of guns and ammo.......long before this recent bank bail out business. We are, at heart, for the constitution which includes the 2nd amendment. And, no, freedom4um people are not fairly representative of humanity in general. I think that folks around here are above the average in regards to intellect, curiosity and quest for knowledge.

Why do you hang around with folks you have such a dismal view of? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. You know there is an old saying that would put you in the midst of your own harsh judgment: water seeks its own level. My first reaction is logical, pragmatic and well-reasoned. And, like I said, I was well armed before this current economic debacle--so who is it you are referring to running out on this "first reaction" to arm up? Yeah, you are probably right, not too many posters pay attention to what you are saying.......proving the laws of the universe are in perfect working order. You get what you give. You really need to brush up on reading comprehension........as I'm not going to repeat for the third time why I carry. Yeah, I'm happy people are buying arms....my Ruger stock has been exceptional!! There are plenty of reasons to own guns beyond killing--hell, I can tell you stories of how a gun has SAVED lives time and time again. I don't feel threatened in the least, I feel prepared, at ease, pragmatic and logical. WTF are you arguing for anyway? An UNARMED society? No 2A for the lot of us? if people carry guns, they should be aware of the purpose of guns, and the consequences. it looks to me like you people dont have the foggiest idea what guns are about, and are being manipulated into a mindset that doesnt do much more than pump up the sales of arms manufacturers. you've watched so much TV that you think guns are the answer, and they never are the answer. the only thing guns do is replace one megalomaniac with another.
I've had guns around my whole life for hunting, for protection, for target shooting, for black powder get togethers, for Johnny Appleseed, for collection, for exhibition, for practical ranching situations. Many purposes for firearms....oh, but only you in your infinite wisdom could possibly know the consequences. When I pull my gun for protection, I know the consequences and I'm fully prepared to deal with them. It looks to me like you are simply posting to argue.....again. What a waste of time. I don't watch tv. From personal experience, guns are the answer to many problems I love it when anti gunners get eaten by grizzlies because they have stupid ideas like "the only thing guns do is replace one megalomaniac with another"......or when a horse is suffering the slow death with a twisted gut and sappy ass liberals sit around and lament the slow long death, gnashing their teeth, whining, pissing, moaning. I'd rather free the animal of suffering-- guns are much cleaner than a clubbing up side the head or a knife. I think if you try REAL hard, you could pull a more idiotic argument out of your ass......
