Sara Palin's Book adorns Tom Tancredo's office wall LA County Libertarian Examiner In an interview with Colorado's KDVR TV, former Colorado Congressman and presidential candidate Tom Tancredo was asked about Arizona's controversial new law SB 1070. The Daily Show ran a snippet of the Tancredo interview, claiming that the immigration hardliner was surprisingly against the new law. Tancredo rebutted this claim with a follow-up interview on FOX News, and explained that the Huffington post and other left wing bloggers mischaracterized what he had said. The Daily Show had aired a segment on the bill and included a brief clip of Tancredo saying "I do not want the police, here, there, pulling people over because you look like you should be pulled over."
Tancredo, who supported the Iraq war, the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act and Real ID Act while in Congress, advocated the bombing of Islamic holy sites Mecca and Medina to fight 'Islamic Terrorism'. Featured prominently on the wall behind Tancredo, presumably in his office since there were plaques with his name alongside the book, was a copy of former Vice presidential candidate Sara Palin's book 'Going Rogue'.
While both Tancredo and Palin speak at the tea party rallies and advocate a certain number of traditional conservative ideals such as lower taxes, gun rights and respect for the unborn, they also both wholeheartedly endorse the continuation of an empirical foreign policy enacted by the U.S. government for decades. Also, under the guise of 'fighting terrorism' and opposing radical islamic threats, they endorse sanctions against Iran, which is nothing more than a precurser towards war, and tyrannical measures at home such as the Patriot Act, and general curtailing of individual liberties.
