It's ok. We are all insensitive from time to time, some people seem to do it for practice (not saying that is the case with you). This song always touches me deeply because at my age I have lost A LOT of people I loved and loved dearly. My best friend as a teenager died in a car wreck. Two friends, both of whom I loved like brothers, died way too young, one of cancer and one committed suicide. And of course members of my family who have already gone on.

I have to admit that I only listened to the very first few bars of the song (no lyrics) when I made my rude remark - only referencing the tempo.
I too have lost many very close to me. Actually, those most close to me and some very recently. My two best friends in the last three years ... and 4 of my immediate family members (Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother by suicide).
I had no idea what the message of the song was.

I'm sorry for your losses. And I know those suicides are hard to accept (the death of anyone you love, whatever the reason, is hard to accept and despite what we tell ourselves we are never prepared for it). But with suicides we always think, at least I did, "why didn't he call me and talk to me about whatever was bothering him? Or why didn't he just come to visit til whatever it was blew over?" And we can "what if" and "if only" ourselves to death but only God knows the answers.
