Yeah, I know. They just make me mad to see them yammering about being "Mexican-Americans" as if they could be both. You are either an American or you're not. I suspect these feel so strongly about their "heritage" that they should be beating feet back to the border and stay in Mexico when they get there.
Indeed. And the shape the politicians have gotten the country in might be analogous to a big oil tanker with both hulls ruptured and taking on water. And the people trying to bail with teacups.
But, James ... we gotta start somewhere. Unfortunately, most are still sleeping and don't think there is a problem. By the time they wake up and grab their five-gallon bucket, it will do the job of a tea cup.

I know what you're saying. I have been telling people for almost thirty years how the government is shafting them. Every once in a while you see a light come on and somebody really is at home but not often and it gets discouraging. But as the old saying goes, if you do the best you can that is all anyone can expect because the angels in heaven can't do any more than that (they aren't perfect either).
