I don't know if the words "culture" and illiterate Mexicans go together too well. They call themselves "Hispanics" but how close you reckon any of them have ever been to Spain? Are they proud to have been subjects of the Spanish government?

Yeah, most of them have probably been about as close to Africa as I have, which is to say "not very." Even Shirley Q. Liquor doesn't claim to be an African American because she (actually he) has never even been to Africa. Said if he had to call himself something or put something down he would probably call himself a Louisiana American because he had been there.
