Just now, A Census worker came to my door. He had his little name tag, and wanted me to talk to him. I'd already sent off our census form a month ago, and apparently someone didn't like the fact that on the form we sent, I wrote "2", and left the rest of it blank.
The government already knows where I live, the government already knows what I make. The government already knows everything about me, so why would this Census Worker bring what looked like a textbook for me to fill out to my door?
I was apparently the first person that has not complied with their demands. I blatantly refuse to give these people all the information they want, because the government already has it. They have everything they could ever want to know about me through bank records, property transactions, my taxes. They know it all. So why the added layer of questions? Because the government wants to know what you do with your hard earned money, and if you're making more than you tell them you are.
They use all this information to locate people for law enforcement. They use this information to track you down for whatever purpose they may have. They sell your information to creditors, to other entities who wish to do market research. It's really all about money, and NOT about enumeration or representation.
It's why I didn't comply. They know how many people live here, and that's enough. I do not give out any information to strangers, especially those who actually work for ACORN, and are doing the census.
