Something I've been mulling for a few weeks now has to do with "fixing" the wellhead.

We have deepdiver subs that were built for Sub Salvage. Speculatively to recover nukes from a sunken sub. Why can't our great government utilize one or two of them to seal this wellhead?

If this has ever been proposed I've not seen it.

No more than I or many others trust this illegitimate government, it just makes you speculate in negatives.

I'm sure they have even more sophisticated gizmos. As far back as the 1960's Martin Caidin, who had worked on the "inside", wrote a novel, "The Last Fathom", about a heavier than water nuclear sub capable of deep diving to those kind of depths. That was based on late '60's technology. I'm sure that the goobermunt has such in the black budget world and probably has had since at least the 80's. We don't have a lack of technology we have a lack of will. I'm not certain that they have milked this for all the political mileage they are looking for and so do not want it capped too soon.
