This bothers me. I'm not picking on you, because a lot of people say things just like that, and I wonder of they know the ramifications of doing it.
The ends do not justify the means. That goes for so-called libertarians too. We bitch when other pols try and sneak in under the radar by playing word games, so don't play word games to try and steal the office.
Now, WHO is it that they are biting their tongues for?
It is being done for the benefit and support of those that have ruined this country. "Biting your tongue" equals "kissing their asses".
When politicians say what they mean and mean what they say, then they might start getting some respect. But that will never happen. They all tailor their messages to their audiences that they are speaking to at that time. Sometimes the messages change daily. Different audience, completely different message.
Why would anyone, like those posting here, even think about voting for someone that is too much of a pussy to say what he or she stands for?
I personally believe that someone that is like-minded and seeks office would win, if he or she stopped worrying about offending people and spoke their minds with no holds barred. Someone with a "take it or leave it" unapologetic attitude.
Think of the free publicity! The other candidate would not be able to get a word in edgewise.
People hate congress. IMO it is because they are being pandered to, and people are getting sick of it. Conventional wisdom is that people don't want the truth. I think that is a lie. IMO the polls show this to be a lie.
