The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"You've got to put right and wrong above legal and illegal. Because when tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty; and it is not rebellion at all, it is submission to the higher law that our government is in rebellion to. We're not the rebels, they're the rebels."

With the exception of his color he looked like he belonged in the movie Drumline.

"With respect to the words general welfare, I have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators."

Instead of wasting 5 minutes swatting flies, he should learn to play it correctly. He's all over the place and missed some key drum parts, missing key accents, and putting cymbal crashes in where they definitely don't belong.

Given the crowd he was playing with, I can see how one might opt for some crazy antics to stay awake. : )

I don't think he could go all crazy for three hours, maybe just every third song.

He's the Joe Cocker of drummers. He'd do even better with a lot less suit jacket.

Not yet Jethro. It could be possible, but we're a bunch of old farts don't like to drive too far.

About as close as we get is Mifflinburg....so far.

I heard them yesterday at the Bloomsburg Fair and of course he was doing the stick thing. I'll admit that it's tough to do though. We listened to only two songs because that's all we could take. ('Build Me Up Buttercup' and 'Sugar Pie Honey-bunch') The audience was huge and was really eating it up. I don't get it. I've heard better local ham and egg bands at the VETS and Legions.

I'm a big Four Tops guy, so a well done 'Sugar Pie Honey-bunch' wouldn't set me running. It was a nice day yesterday in Central PA, same in Bloomsburg?

Who, Top? Or this band?

If the other, aren't they a local ham and egg band?

The name of the band is Rick K and the All Nighters or something like that. That was the band I was referring too. Sorry for the lack of specifics. I guess it would have confused me too.

I think they are from Florida and they do fairs and amusement parks in the summer. We have weekend warrior bands in this area that sound and play better.

I was a huge Kansas fan back in the mid '70s. Their first 4 albums are great. Even though 'Point of No Return' was even a bigger break-out album than 'Left Overture,' I bought it, listened to it once and its been in the cover ever since. That was the last Kansas album I bought.

We had tickets to see Z.Z. and Aerosmith in Hershey in the summer of '09, but Tyler fell off the stage a few days prior and it was never rescheduled. I waited 35 years to see Z.Z., so I was disappointed.

My two favorite Motown bands are the Four Tops and the Ronettes. It wasn't the actual song that sent us on our way, it was the cheesy performance. You can't do Motown unless you have great vocals. I don't remember anyone singing back-up in the band.

Yes indeed it was a nice day. Much better than yesterday. I have almost 5 inches on rain in my gauge this morning.
