Nullification. It places the power to judge the law and the facts in the hands and conscience of the people where it rightly resides. I have always wanted to be a cog in the grinding wheels of The State through the mechanism of jury duty, yet have never been called.
I've been called and never saw a full trial yet. They usually dismiss for some lawyer-ly reason before we get to the point of needing the actual jury. My fingers are crossed though.
