Obama OK'ed drilling and within 2 - 3 weeks there was an "oil spill".

How can a company go down 5,000 ft and then 3 miles into the sea floor in that time frame?

This was a SETUP from day one.

I understand it's 5 miles into the sea floor and since the relief wells which don't go down that far won't be ready till August, obviously 3 weeks is not enough time.

But I don't get the point of your question.

What Obama gave them was a free pass on meeting regulatory requirements to begin drilling but the well had been underway for years.
