He's a compromiser who has been sitting back trying to reconcile 2 basically incompatible worldviews - US primacy or USreal primacy, instead of drawing a line and insisting that his party members follow his lead instead of following their own preprogramming. He also has violated several explicit promises including ending torture, renditions, closing Guantanamo, and he has also expanded Bush/Cheney programs far beyond what those 2 ever dreamed of. The people I think best describe him are Jon Stewart of the Daily Show Obama - You're Frodo, and Al Qaeda spokeman Adam Gadahn, who less flatteringly calls him "devious, evasive, and serpentine." That out of the way, as I've said elsewhere he's perhaps 50% brain dead, while just about eveybody else in Washington is 99% brain dead. Meaning he is capable of recognizing he's doing something wrong and changing it if he can muster up the courage to do something his circle won't approve of. So what's the alternative to getting rid of him, anyway: Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Glenn Beck? Palin? Don't see anything out there. Just hear the same old CT's repeated over and over, as if somebody's going to roll the clock back to 2008.
