All Obama's lawyers had to do was show up in court and cite the relevant chapter(s) and verse(s) - the same from one case to the next, from one state to the next, from one venue to the next - stating why the lawsuit was bogus, or why the court had no standing even if it weren't.

You don't run up your pretend $2 million tab telling the courts why the lawsuit should be $hit canned, and then the courts agreeing you within a few days or weeks. On the contrary, it's the losers who end up paying the bulk of the court's expenses and in more flagrant cases, the attorney fees of the person they've wrongly charged.

All his lawyers have had to do is tell the courts the reasons the courts have no standing, and in all cases the courts have completely agreed within days or weeks. The only other time they have to spend is ~ possibly ~ listen to the judges swat down one idiotic Birfer argument after another.

However just for laffs let's ~ momentarily ~ presume that telling courts to dismiss cases, which the courts then swiftly do, does cost lots of money for the winnning defendants. FACT: This video which purports to be an expose of Obama's non-citizenship status actually has its protagonist saying Obama was a US citizen and the opposition to his status comes from ethnic, racial, and cultural animus and not from any legal considerations.

FACT: I state several times above the totally unsubstantiated claims of spending $2 million, or any substantive amounts of money, to defeat these frivolous cases, are unsubstantiated pure k00k$hit.

FACT: I've never expressed substantive support of Obama because

(1) He has too many Israel-oriented people in high positions, and he allows them and Congress to push him in directions he and we should not be going at all,
(2) He does not lead, instead sits back and tries to fashion compromises between basically incompatible positions and world views, and
(3) He has not kept his explicit promises about taking actions like closing Guantanamo, ending torture and rendition, or killing innocents.

I rebutted that stupid argument at the time it was posted. The k00ksource included all legal expenses of which defending against the m00nbeam chasers was a tiny fraction. You're full of it and you will find no such numbers.

I repeat, it doesn't cost a whole lot of money to show up in court, tell the judge the chapter(s) and verse(s) that invalidate the suit, have the judges agree with you on every point, then dismiss the cases as fast as the k00ktiff arguments get swatted down.

Your claim that I "worship Obama" because I won't join your k00k Birfer cult is similarly false. Obama has not kept some very basic promises he made and he allows the Israel lobby and a slavish congress to frame the terms of what he does. The Hawaii Health Dept itself says that it no longer issues the long form, that the short form that Obama made public is the only replacement b/c it now issues; this is primarily because of fairly recent privacy laws, as the long forms in some states asked all sorts of personal and intimate details about the parents. Hawaii law requires nothing less than a court order to produce anything other than that short form. In addition, both Honolulu newspapers reported his birth within ten days. There was even a newspaper interview with one of his elementary school teachers who remembered talking to the very doctor who attended his birth. We have more thorough documentation of Obama's birth than of most other presidents!

The Director of Hawaii's Health Dept has attested that the Obama's b/c, which says he was born in Honolulu and that the birth was registered within two business days, is the genuine article. Even the Republican Governor of Hawaii says the same. Hillary and McCain undoubtedly had professionals investigating that issue and couldn't come up with anything. In a court case in the District of Columbia, both the US Dept of State (which is responsible for passports) and the Dept of Homeland Security (which inherited responsibility for immigration & naturalization from the DOJ) officially said that Obama was not born outside the US, that he is a natural born citizen. No one has produced legally acceptable evidence to the contrary.

It is the collective voice of the American people, taken as a whole, and the institutions they validate.

You shamelessly violate the most fundamental principle of American justice: Innocent until proven guilty.

The fact that the title of this thread misspells Eligibility doesn't do much to support the notion that the birfers are correct.

So far, birfers have repeatedly fallen down on the job of the producing persuasive evidence: photographs of purported foreign birth certificates - conflicting with each other and also with known history (such as the fact that Mombasa was part of Zanzibar when Obama was born), rumors, opinions of conspicuous non-experts, etc.

Against the birfers, all the evidence I mentioned in a previous message, plus a resolution of the House of Representatives, another from the Hawaiian legislature, and more than ten different court decisions, that Obama was a natural born citizen of the US.
