... does anyone else get the sense that something enormous is going to happen here very, very soon to change life for all of us forever? And not in a good way. LOL

I wake up this morning, and granted, not well rested, but I'm skimming through some "news" stuff and op-ed pieces that indicate to me that very few people think that we are in any kind of dire trouble. It's politics as usual with writers bitching about the same exact stuff they were bitching about in the '80s or '90s while suggesting the same "solutions."

I also had some conversations over the weekend with varying people, some of whom I thought should understand at least some basic fundamental stuff in terms of not being snowed by the MSM, yet they seemed clueless.

There's talk in the media, as usual, of this current economic climate for the US being just another road bump (my term) in the "cyclical economic nature" of things. Yet, in looking at our debt, how is it even possible for a nation to recover from something like this? As I see it there is simply no mathematical way to recover w/o unprecedented and perhaps even epochal pain and pervasive if not comprehensive societal upheaval. The states and municipalities are no better off, perhaps worse in most cases.

People are focusing on superficial entertainment related stuff seemingly clueless and/or unphased as to any notion of any looming problems. Oh sure, many people are cutting back on spending and such, but there's little indication that most think that we are in anything but the next normal/routine cycle.

I try to talk to people from time to time, more so recently thinking that perhaps current events have slapped some reason and cognizance into peoples' heads, but I'm met with the looks that no doubt many of y'all are familiar with, looks of "oh come on, you don't really believe all that, do you," or "oh come on, you're not 'one of those' people...," etc. I will ask them, seemingly bright people, questions about why they believe what they believe on "current events" and the like, and all I get is a litany of Douche Lameblow drivel, Faux Snooze or NY Slimes, etc. nonsense.

For example, we're starting to read about how government pensions are being cut and with people and media acting as if these first-line and nominal pension "changes" are the solution. But the fact of the matter is that the budgets of municipalities, states, and the FedGov are still way out of whack. As I see it, none of those pensions will ever get paid for people more than a few years away from retirement. That math simply isn't there to support that they will. Even after these trivial cuts, that many people and media treat as huge, the budgets are still just as much out of whack as they were before them indicative that these "cuts" are merely a drop in the bucket, but few seem to have a clue in that way.

I could go on, but presumably most of you know what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I just feel like I'm living in a Twilight Zone.

YOu don't really expect anything different, do you?

They have a vested interest in doing these things. Their job is to make $$$, not inform people. They keep them distracted and therefore complacent, and therefore spending $$$. The last thing they want is to rock the boat in this shitstorm.

Just because they get away with this does not mean that they are going to win. The truth always wins out, because nothing they do changes what is.

THe sheeple don't bother me anymore. I don't feel the need to get anyone to agree with me, even if I will make fun of those that disagree. Getting frustrated doesn't help YOU or me.

AFA something big happening, it is one day closer to happening. I hope it happens and happens soon. But I can afford to say that. The only family I have is the one I was born into.

(rhetorical since I know you don't have the answers)

I think I do ;)

IMO it's not that they don't want to, or can't see it. It's that they are lazy. Digging for this takes time and effort. No one handed this to us on a silver platter. Speaking for myself, I've had a lot of false starts. It's like being told "So you want the truth huh? First you will find out what it is not!" I'm saying that in hindsight, of course.

And, we value the truth, even if it sometimes scares the crap out of us, or pisses us off. Fear and anger, to the sheep, is too uncomfortable.

IMO the only loosers will be those invested in the system. Not that it will be a cakewalk for those not invested in it, but it will be a figurative cakewalk compared to what will happen to them.

It's almost like more are becoming dumbed even further down.

I agree. But IMO that dumbing down is the result of them being even more studious in their ignoring what is staring them in the face. THey think that ignoring it will make it go away.

Or are seemingly bright people really not all that bright?

IMO it has nothing to do with intelligence. We have intelligent people on our side too, remember.

The way I see it, it has everything to do with having the ability to not be emotionally invested in their own personal worldview, and having the ability to drop the errors when exposed to the truth. Not too many can do that.

i think that people who view themselves as 'in the know' about the nwo tend to have an apocalyptic view of things. like an impending sense of doom. yeah, we have 3 more months, or 6 more months, before everything falls apart and we are in bread lines, or fema camps. complete bullshit. we all here will be posting in 5, 10, & probably 30 years watching & complaining about the horrid state of our 'republic. the specific timelines & date predictions are the most comical for me. i understand the sense of 'impending doom', but people need to get a grip.
