The Gulf Oil Spill is a disaster surpassing Pearl Harbour, and 9/11, in our collective consciousness. It will be spun into a sufficient motivation for WW3 in my opinion. It has all the earmarks of triggering an international incident of major proportions.
War weary Americans would sit up and take notice if Russian, Israeli or Chinese submarines turned up on our coast with the intention of nuking the well to stop the spill, while BO has his finger up his nose.
Why wouldn't other countries be making plans to protect their waters and their resources?
Now that the Supreme Court has lifted the moratorium on offshore drilling and BO has covered his ass, the stage is set for further accidents. The rest of the world is not going to sit by quietly while the USA destroys the environment.
