Veteran NYPD cop busted in Albany for stalking 11-year-old girl on way to school Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2010/06/24/2010-06-24_cop_cuffed_in_stalking_of_girl_11.html#ixzz0rn5vXlvj

A veteran NYPD detective was arrested in Albany for stalking an 11-year-old girl on her way to school and asking her three times if she wanted to make money, police said.

Detective Deodhram Singh, 38, followed the young girl Tuesday in his pickup truck, causing her to grow more frightened eachtime he pulled alongside her and barked out sleazy questions, authorities said.

"Do you want to make money," the 16-year veteran asked her the first time he approached, according to the Albany Police Department.

The girl ignored him and continued on, thinking he had gone. But a few blocks later, he reappeared, asking the same question and then inquiring about her age.

Terrified, she ran to her grandparents' home nearby. As she neared the home, Singh again interrogated her, asking, "Are you young?" and "Do you want to make $100?" cops said.

The girl ran into the home and told her grandfather she was being stalked.

Furious, the grandfather jumped into his car, chased down the third-grade detective's pickup and jotted down his license plate number, police said.

Albany cops traced the tag number and eventually collared Singh, who has homes in Albany and in Freeport, L.I., police said.

The handcuffed cop never once said he was an NYPD detective. It was not until law enforcement officials analyzed his fingerprints that they learned what Singh does for a living.

He was slapped with charges of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. After being arraigned in Albany County Court, he was ordered held in Albany County Jail.

Albany Police Detective James Miller said cops believe the girl's accusation against Singh.

"There was no legitimate reason for him to engage in a conversation with an 11-year-old girl, especially since he's a New York City cop," Miller told the Daily News.

Singh From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Singh (Punjabi: 6;3; 2;4;, Hindi: ì0;ì7;æ6;ì1; singh, Gujarati: 4;1; 0;5; sinh) is derived from the Sanskrit word Si7;ha meaning "lion"[1]. It is a common title, middle name, or surname in Northern India used initially by the Kshatriyas (Rajputs).[2] In 1699 the name was adopted in Punjab by adherents of the Sikh faith, according to the wishes of Guru Gobind Singh.

While others have a choice of using Singh as a name, for all Sikhs the second name Singh is mandatory - regardless of their geographical or cultural binding. The surname was later widely adopted by other groups of India like Yadavs and Jats.

It is of interest to note that some Brahmins like Bhumihar Brahmins (see Kingdom of Kashi and Royal House of Benares) and Maithil Brahmins (see History of Mithila) also use this name. "Singh" has gradually emerged as a hereditary title [3] to be used as a middle name, highlighting connections to a warrior status or occupation. However, this is not an exclusive usage, and many Hindu groups including Scheduled Castes and Vaishya have adopted this title without any significant warrior status or ties.

I offer this as further support for my previous assertion that Indians (not the Geronimo kind but the "I'm so hungree" kind) are insufferably arrogant. And because of their Caste system they actually believe themselves to be our betters.... in this life and the next.

This stalking in Albany makes me wonder how successful Singh (Singh a songh, Singh out loud, Singh out strongh, Singh of good things not bad, Singh of happy not sad) has been at corrupting children in La Manzana Grande-The Big Apple. Albany is the Capital after all, and (as is evidenced by New York's forty five year moratorium on capital punishment except for the murder of a police officer, or an angel) "it's a long way from the legislature to the street".

An 11 yr old child cannot consent to sex. Is there any doubt that if Singh The Punjabi child rapist managed to get the girl alone that he'd take what he wanted using force (gun or Kirpan) or fear (badge)? In light of this arrest is it any wonder why rape was once a capital crime in some states? Do you believe that only we Southerners feel the death penalty is appropriate for cannibal Albert Fish or Detective Deodhram Singh? _HD (1 image)

Hammer meets nail. They ARE insufferable, and they get quite indignant when white folks look down their nose at them. They also cheat in college, I don't trust any of 'em that have a trainload of degrees piled up behind their name.

I'll never fly Dharma Airlines, either.

You can bet your autographed 8X10 glossy of Louis Prima on that.
