Anticipating the arrival next month of citizen militias at California's border with Mexico, immigrants joined with religious, labor and community leaders Thursday in vigils and rallies in San Jose and Oakland, to denounce the growing number of armed volunteers conducting patrols. The news conference outside the Santa Clara County government center in San Jose was part of a statewide action to support California's immigrants, said the Rev. Jon Pedigo, a San Jose pastor, ``and reject the racist-tinged'' rhetoric of Minuteman, the group patrolling the Arizona border and preparing to start in California in October. Rallies also were held in Sacramento and San Diego. ``We believe there's no place in our community for people who terrorize people because of their immigration status,'' said Salvador Bustamante, regional vice president for the Service Employees International Union, Local 1877. ``We don't need and want vigilante groups to take the law into their hands.'' Members of Local 1877 held placards that said, ``Vigilantism is a thing of the past.'' San Jose community leaders urged the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors to adopt a resolution against the Minuteman patrol and in support of immigrants. Pedigo, a member of a People Acting in Community Together, a faith-based local group, announced that next week he will deliver 3,000 letters from immigrants and their families to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, urging him to renounce the civilian border patrols. ``What we are advocating for is immigration reform that's comprehensive, sensible, legal, and safe,'' Pedigo said. ``The issues of immigration can't be solved in an atmosphere in which there's nothing but racial profiling and xenophobic attitudes.'' A county resolution, recommended this summer by the county's Santa Clara County Human Relations Commission, is pending in committee and waiting recommendation for a vote later by the board of supervisors. If it is approved by the board, Santa Clara County could be the first municipal government in the state to take a formal stand against the Minuteman Project. ``It really speaks well of Santa Clara County's long history of welcoming immigrants,'' said Larisa Casillas, policy director for Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network, a San Jose non-profit group. ``The resolutions says they're not just talking the talk but also investing in services.'' In East Oakland, about 60 people, many of them immigrants, held a vigil in front of Centro Legal de la Raza, an immigrant legal advocacy organization. The group expressed solidarity with immigrants and attacked citizen border patrols as ``hate-filled, white supremacists.'' "We're here to denounce the invasion of vigilantes on the border,'' said Maria Jimenez, director Mujeres Unidad e y Activas, a Latina women's group in Oakland. ``The vigilantes are bringing terror and division to our communities.'' The Bay Area Immigrant Rights Coalition cited research by the national faith-based organization, Center for New Communities and the Anti-Defamation League, showing links between Minuteman and white supremacy groups. In a previous interview, Tim Donnelly, Minuteman leader of recruitment in California, dismissed the ``extremists'' characterizations. ``It's an incendiary accusation,'' said Donnelly, a San Bernardino businessman. ``It's utterly ridiculous. I'm organizing a group down here, and you'd be astounded by the caliber and array of people volunteering.'' A public forum on the Minuteman originally scheduled for today at the Mexican Heritage Plaza was canceled last week after Latino community leaders objected to one of the panelists, Chris Simcox, the founder of the Minuteman. The forum will be rescheduled at the plaza, but Simcox has not signed on to participate.

Yep, we might give up that easily. As for me, I'm being drawn closer and closer to the pro-white groups out there. This despite their high degree of infiltration by the anti-Christian ADL. But hey, screw it. We either band together, and be proud of who we are, or hang separately.
Even though you're aware, you must still be careful JT. I don't know how the MMP manage to keep everyone in their group so well behaved, and apparently free from govt infiltrators. Do they test them or do a background checks; I don't know.

Both. But the "test" is the easyest one you will ever take. The Texas Minutemen usually have afternoon meetings at which there is about 2 hours of open forum Q and A. If someone has an agenda it will show up there and then we look a little closer. So far we have only detected two folks that were questionable. As for the current situation, there is a large increase of crossings in El Paso and the fed has pulled out way too many BP agents to go to NO. Probably the same in all states. The illegals are just dancing across and the County Sheriff's and State Police can't keep their guys subbing for the BP forever. So.. where is this going? Everyone needs to consider getting to a Border Watch Operation in October. E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E. This is going to be a very critical op in that there is a buildup of aliens that are trying to get across to GO to the now three STATE amnesty zone created by the feds to take all the construction jobs. If you what to help an AMERICAN get one of those jobs join us on the Border to shine the light on the illegals that are crossing. Also remember, the President of the United States is pushing for a TOTAL Amnesty for all of the 20 - 30 million illegals that are now here. IF there is some restriction on the new amnesty the press is not revealing it as they quote it as being for "illegal immigrants." and does not state "in the U.S. before ....-.... date." Reports from El PAso and eastern New Mexico indicate the illegals are starting to stampede across. NOW is the time to stand up to this. Hit the link and join up.

No surprises here. We are going to be merged with Canada and Mexico within a few years. The reason "they" aren't defending our Southern border is because "they" don't intend for us to have a Southern border much longer.
Funny you should mention it...today's headline in the Sunday edition of the Valley News: "Mexican Workers Step Right Up...Country Fairs in the NORTHEAST Depend on Their Manpower". Beyond eliminating the border, Jorge W. and the free traitors want to replace First World Euro- Americans with Third World Mexicans. What better way is there to eliminate health standards, living wages, and free thinkers than by replacing Euro-Americans with dull witted, compliant, Third World rock kickers? This is what I keep telling people, not enough people are giving a damn! I joined up at http://www.alipac.us months ago and I have been fighting illegal immigration everyway I can. I know our government is now SAYING they are gonna do something about it, but do I trust them to? Hell no! And I will keep on fighting this battle until we either go down into the third world Amexico cesspool or we win this war and deport ALL illegals, enforce our immigration laws, fine the companies who are hiring them, and straighten this HUGE mess out! I hope the latter is the outcome!
