To: bd476; NormsRevenge; Jean S; John Robinson "It costs money to have a site this big, to pay rent for the dozen servers"

Actually, at one point some time ago we did have a dozen servers or close to it. But we lost a couple when they fried a few years ago. Then John installed a couple of new servers just before the last election that were each more than twice as powerful and twice the capacity of any of our older ones so he took a few more of the older ones offline. Then last quarter we lost our secure server when it crashed and burned. John moved it to one of the other boxes. So, minus one more. Then two weeks ago we lost one of our newest servers. John has not repaired or replaced it yet, but has crammed most of it’s functions onto its twin and where ever he could fit it in. My guess is we still have six or seven servers online at this time but I've lost track of the exact number and configuration. And who knows if we’ll have to add more before the next election or not.

BTW, John bounced the idea off me a couple months ago that he could replace the whole shooting match and be much more efficient and reliable with a completely new approach. He said he could do it for an investment of around $10,000. We didn't have that kind of money in our budget at that time and didn't want to borrow it, so I told him it would have to wait.

Also, by the way, it's more than just me and John. There's also Amy and Chris. John dropped his company a couple years ago and came back in with me and Amy as partners. We also added Chris as a partner after I lost my leg. Amy's been with me as a partner from the start. I'm hoping John and Chris can take over for me if I die or become incapacitated.

We also ended up borrowing about twenty grand a couple years ago when we did a lot of traveling (traveled to DC and elsewhere by air and by car several times) and also held our national convention. We've paid about half of that debt off so far. Hopefully the balance will be paid off within a year. 77 posted on Thursday, July 08, 2010 12:26:42 AM by Jim Robinson (JUST VOTE THEM OUT! teapartyexpress.org) [ Post Reply | Private Reply | To 5 | View Replies]

Since "John" is the site GURU that has created all these servers that eventually go belly-up, I RECOMMEND that JR, dump "John" in the can.

I have been in the computer business with over 25 years of expertise. And never once have I seen a truly managed system by competent individuals "FRY." Either JR's claims are down right lies or his own son has bullshitted the state of the art.

In either case..... what a pantload of shit.

Found this on the grifter's latest thread:

LOL! "$5/month makes you a hero at FR"

I figured it made you a gullible sap with 5 bucks less to spend on something worthwhile.

What, you mean you wouldn't post to an audience of "over 80 million people a day"? That's how many people TLBSHOW said Free Republic reached every day. Remember?

Well at least it gives us number for the number of morons on the 'net. ;-)

I'm happy here. If people want to read what we have to say they're welcome.

I know what you mean. I was just thinking back over "old times" and some of the funny stuff the Toddler said. Remember when he joined up with the AFers and got banned from LP? I couldn't believe what a tin ear he has, how he kept on badgering Neil until Neil dropped the hammer on him. And then weikel--at least I think it was him--started a campaign to reinstate the Toddler. But I can remember some seriously funny threads on LP. And one thing in particular stands out. Risky Schemer put together a little animation about the Toddler and used All Your Base in it. Do you remember that? One of the funniest things I have EVER seen on the net. I wish I had had a program then that I could have used to download it so I could have kept it.

Fun times back when El Pee was worth visiting other than to watch the animals at feeding time.
