American government (irrespective of level) may have created all sorts of laws and taxes restraining energy mining in America but the shift for energy need went to where the oil was and is. As a nation, we did not address the fundamental issues. And as a result we have parlayed the roles and responsibilities for our needs into the US military guarding OUR oil under their sand.
